I don't think it's illegal, I think a lot of shops don't want to install them on a manual transmission due to liability factor (you leaving your car in gear and using the remote start etc.)

Yes, its LIABILITY they worry about...to install they must bypass a SAFETY mechanism, same as asking a business to turn of the seat belt annoying beeping sound if the belt is not buckled.... No can Do.

whats does it mean when they tell you - you have reuse the steel sleeve..? After Im done - theres nothing left to use ... I would go solid scott... just my honest opinion sir.. The ONLY reason I suggest solid is I still dont see how this one holds up if you just slide it in... Thats kinda scary actually...

Knowing first hand how much of a PITA that bushing is to get out, anything that I can just slide in with my hand would scare the ever loving hell out of me.
