so disappointed. 15+ people signed up for a "car look pretty lets stare at each others Z's" meet and only 5 or so people going to track day. lame. well, thats texas Z owners for ya. west and east coast members would have been out in full force for a track day, sigh.

Lol, not everybody is a racer. West and East Coast be rolling hard no doubt...100+ cars easily for a meet or anything. Insane. DFW better be lucky anybody even shows really.

Mines too. Plus I just added about 7lbs on each corner of my vehicle. Damn wheels, makes me cleaning my car twice as long now!

That's why I don't set up dyno days and drag days anymore. Glad we still have some people coming out to the drag strip, though.

+1 on just getting out there to have fun (and not bitching about how it's too expensive, how far it is, how slow your car is, how shitty you drive, etc).

there were some amazing cars out there that any car enthusiast would enjoy. its like a huge meet for everyone while having the opportunity to actually use your car and enjoy it. then you could sit in the stands and socialize with other car enthusiasts. concessions are available if you get thirsty or hungry. just good times imho. you get to rag on each other a bit, help each other out on how to get better times, race against each other for some competition, and just enjoy the comradery. imho its the best type of meet you can have. im just disappointed more people dont come out to the strip. if you are afraid of driving a slow time, who cares!!?!?!? we saw two guys, one driving a 4 banger hyundai sonata and one driving a 2.5 altima having a great time racing against each other.

EXACTLY!

BTW, sorry I gave you a shitty run at the end, Jason. Today just wasn't meant to be a great drag day for me. I did get a 12.54@110 with a easy 1-2 shift, though (rofl @ my slower time with a bigger shot). After our "race," my bottle pressure began dropping fast. Turbo > nitrous.

But you're just bias cause it's your car. I think jason's car color is better heheheheh . BTW if anyone is in Arlington, there seems to be a BIG *** trap around Bowen/I-20 area, if you are anywhere near slow the hell down. Just got home and they seemed to had popo's all over the area with there lights off, seen 8 get pulled over within 1mile.

PS: You guys with aftermarket wheels, are you guys using hub rings?

i ran a weaksauce 12.2 @ 123mph 2.2 60ft which sneaks me into the top 25 TT chart i think but i need to be in the top 25 overall chart darn it!. 123mph should be good for mid 11's with a good driver. i wish i could have stayed longer to try out a few more things but i had to open the restaurant at 4. are they running again tomorrow? i might have to go.

Jason, you got lucky to leave when you did. The yellow S2K blew up at the 60 foot mark and left oil all the way down the middle of the track. We had to wait for a little over an hour for them to clean the track.
