im not suprised austin was on there a few times.....F'n I-35 thru downtown austin is a biotch.
heck ya, i hate driving thru Austin on IH-35. We typically grab TX-130 Toll at exit 265 north of austin in Georgetown - It swoops you around Austin and connects you back to IH-35 at Exit 222. Its well worth the 4 bucks it cost. its only about 10 miles longer, but way faster than if you took 35 due to traffic.
Technically its TX-130 to TX-45SE but still, its like its the same road. TX-45SE is still under construction, so they redirect you onto FM1327 to get back to IH-35 at exit 222.
We use it every time going from Dallas to San Antonio.

I just looked at those rotas Jeremy... I want to get me a set I think...
I honestly dont understand why a lot of people knock on Rota's.......but to be honest they are a very functional wheel........
They all typically have:
Width people want
offset people want
holes in-between the stud mounts to accommodate longer OEM studs if paired with spacers.
one piece fab
low cost - in comparison
good styling - opinion.
It's all in the name. I can't deny the fact I'm a name brand *****. It's like choosing between a Mobil 1 and Fram oil filter.. But I definitely can't afford the wheels i originally wanted.

i think the only beef most people have are they fact that they copy originals. if rota were to come out with their own designs at the quality level and price point they have now, then almost no one would have a problem with them.
Yeah but even volk/work them self copy design from other company's also that I've seen. But I can't think of any off top my head or anything. They always bash about the quality too.
It was $3300 shipped for just the wheels. With tires it would be over 4k
gotta pay to play with the name brands unfortunately. i was lucky when i bought my first set of volks. back then i got my GT-7's for $1800 shipped with center caps.

but for the most part volk and work create the trends. but yeah no one is 100% original but then again companies like rota are almost 100% copies. i honestly dont have any problems with rota. i think their products are solid.
might have to get set of rotas to replace the adr junk on my ep3. i feel like such a stereotypical asian riceboy driving around in that damn car but it's so cool and fun to drive.
