Happy New Year Z's and G's
For everyone wanting a good time and some fun racing, get ready for the 2012 VQ Championship Series.
Gavin ran the series last year but is heading off to China So I am taking over the planing( with A LOT of help from Chris Fithamoto). You can look forward to a nice mix of Auto X, Time Trials, and maybe even a HPDE track event. I'll be starting up a new thread so stay tuned.
For those new to DFW or racing I encourage you to come on out. This wil be a very relaxed series. Its all about the people and having a good time with the Z( or whatever you want to drive). All these events are timed runs against a clock, no wheel to wheel racing. Price is around 30-40 bucks per event and will take up a Saturday or Sunday.
Most likely we will warm things up on Jan 29(sun) with the North Texas Autocross Series. This event will be at Pennington Field (HEB) so should be easy for everyone to get to.
Stay tuned for up dates in the coming days and looking forward to 2012.

I'm very stoked to see you back in a Z ! I hope you come out to some events with us when you get things ready....but I would drive her like she is to get a feel for her and then you can see the differences.
---------
On another note....you all should inspect your belts....if you see this type of thing, you need to replace them soon.
Jake can do it for you for way cheaper than the dealerships. I did this with Jake and he didn't even have time to finish his first beer ! Lol
But I had everything ready to go.....it is so simple.
Look under your hood often to see if you need some maintenance....it can save you lots of money in the long run.
Jake, thanks for coaching me & helping me learn to do some basic things on my Z ! You are a great guy to have on your side.

Got the group invite. Chris- ill be out to hang out, but I don't really autox. I've road raced in the past and might do a little of that in the z, but it's really being built as a drift car. It was weird driving a z again but it felt so right and home like. Lol

As far as road racing, there will be a HPDE at Cresson in the spring with the BMW group and it is tons of driving time. It would be awesome if you do that one with us.
Can't wait to see your Z Mackie.

What happened? Do you need financing or are you just buying outright? I have an auction license, or I could have one of my friends that owns a dealership find you one here or out of state.
