I just know that having my CBR tuned on the dyno made ALL the difference in the world.
If you have a power commander already you should have a dyno tune done. It's worth it for sure. Mine was essential since I did so many mods, but even a stock bike benefits from a dyno tune.
Yea it makes a difference. But i dont ride the r1 that much so i havent been able to justify the extra cash when i could spend it on the car. lol One day i will get it tuned since ill probly never sell it. I still need to get a set of brembos for the r1. Also since i found out that steve can tune my r1 that gives me even more of a reason to get it tuned.
I cover all 50 states for work. One of my stores this wk happen to be in stephenville and i didnt want to drive so i rode with my co worker (i get to sleep on the way out and way in) so my car is in his garage. Man i can wait to get back in town to fix my dam oil leak

Turbo and na afr tuning is completely different along with different fuel types. It all depends on the car, how much timing it will take along with where it makes it's best power and that will vary engine to engine even on the same day with identical mods.
Technically it's somewhere between 12.8 and 13.2 for na cars. Turbo is what mid 11s on pump gas? I ran 12.5-12.8 wot on my evo with e85.
Yup I agree. Can't compare the map of a car (even off boost) with NA. I got my hands on a VQ block dirt cheap while in search of an LS motor so I'm going to throw the Turbo back on.
Thats what I'm looking for though is an AFR that will work NA for a while. My UTEC has been off since California with no tune and on my last datalog I was pulling 14.9-15.1 and I knew we need to run richer than that. On my Talon with 91 octane I had an 11.5 target afr but I've heard of other members doing somewhere between 12.5 and 13.5 on their VQ. So I needed a better idea and that helps. I'll try a target of 13.2 I think and mess with timing from there, until I'm finished building my block anyway. Are there any other members who know their tune or more specifically their AFR. I just ordered an osiris tuner for an ok price so looking for whatever help i can get. Thanks guys - quick responses in here
