I'm actually in Houston right now and believe me I would love to. However, I really don't want to run a 10.5" width up front. Oh and then there's the problem of not having the spare cash at the moment. Lol

Unfortunately I'll miss that one cause I'll be out of town again.

A note on the Koni Sport shocks... I installed them over the weekend and already feel rear traction improved significantly. Kicking the rear out on a hard turn it didn't just bounce and spin the tires, it settled almost immediately and grabbed the road. I know it's not a track testimony, but it wasn't just in my head either. Can't wait to get on the track with them and play with the adjustable settings.
Glad your liking the shocks, we'll miss ya on the 23rd.

As far as sways, I have stillen and run the rear full stiff and front one in the middle. With square tire setup and 400front/430rear springs the balance is pretty close to neutral,

Track set ups dont really transfer to autocross. The slower your corner speeds are the more push you'll have. So a nice balanced high speed track car will probably push big time at an autocross. A soft rear will also help you get the power down out of a corner but you'll give up some corner speed. Thats good for a track with long straights but not much help at an autocross.

Just drilled an extra hole in my rear sway to see if I can stiffen it enough to let me run the front bar full stiff. Trying to keep the same balance just less body sway.
Wish I had my own private parking lot to play in!

I'm glad you pointed that out Scott. I forgot I was reading about track stuff when I saw that. It's crazy how different the setup can be between track and autocross.

Are your Sportlines linear or progressive springs?

per eibach's website, both the sportline and pro-kit are progressive

The springs are progressive of a sort. They have a tight coiled section which is the lower spring rate and a second section which is the higher rate.https://my350z.com/forum/attachment....1&d=1339544394

The top 3 coils compress together when you get the weight of the car on them, they are they softer rate. The second section of coils is what you drive on and they work like a fixed rate spring.

If you look at some picks of KW springs you will see they change their shape over the full length of the coils, both in spacing and diameter of the coil. They are more of a true progressive spring and their rate will be different during each inch of compression.

I wouldn't be comfortable removing the sway bar - i don't think the car has enough power to really make much of need for squatting etc on the road course - but i've never tried it either though it might be awesome - i think it would cause me to push even more so that leads me to believe there would be a complete change for the dampening ride height and front sway settings as well - to get it "just right"

I can understand why the track / autocross are different - but i would think that would be more in the tow settings than the sway bars that would make a big difference - but i can guarantee that i wouldn't want any sway on an autocross lol that would make me sick i think

I had Tein SS on the supra and i was very happy with them - although not "true coilover" they were VERY predictable and comfortable (and without all the 7000 billion adjustment options to think about) - my V3's are similar but with better valving and everything else from what i can tell or maybe its the car - i'm not sure - so i like the progressive - but to answer the question about the H, i don't know.....the springs don't look progressive -

tomorrow is my Friday woooo - still waiting on bushings!

Aren't you supposed to be discouraging the hellaflush trend rather than supporting them with fixes?

no, but my idea will correct camber, so at least they wont be killing high dollar tires on the first 2 inches of the inside edge of the tire.....

The whole point of dumped and hellaflush is to have ridiculous camber, though, not just sit barely off the ground. They like how their wheels/tires sit like this: //--\\

Did anybody else get hit by the hail storm Wednesday night? Craziest hail storm I've ever seen. It put a lot of nasty dents in my car and cracked my front windshield. A lot of coworkers windshields and back windows were completely gone. Sounded like we were at war at work it was so damn loud.

Some pics..

My coworkers car looks like he just got shot up.
