i just got notice i will have my shocks tuesday... here lately i have been ordering alot from b2 auto designs in florida. everything i have ordered from them ships the same day, and it is ALWAYS free shipping.
Everyone should be there by 8 am......Tech inspection between 8 - 8:30....then driver's meeting at 9 - 9:15 .... then Racing Starts Biotches !
If your spectating then 9:30-10:00 am is when it starts up.
Don't think the BMW group allows riders. : (

350Zs with BOSE systems (not certain about non-BOSE) come with an active noise compensation feature called "Audio Pilot" with the headunit. You can turn this off by pressing the AUDIO button, choose AUDIOP, then select OFF. I heard that if you had the Audio Pilot on when changing to an aftermarket, it stays on (so you had to turn it off before changing to non-OEM).
As far as I know, the mic is under the dash around the steering wheel. It's been years since I ran across this topic on the forums, but I think I remember the mic being under this thing (see attached).
You are correct. There is a mic in the cabin. I'm not sure if you can just physically disable it without issues, but I don't see why not. I've heard of others just taping the mic up, too.

interesting about the mic - i'll have to check it out - thanks - and i do have the option to turn off the feature on my BOSE head unit - if anyone has a sledge hammer i'd like to bust mine into a million peices because the CD player is worthless for me other than that and on the plus side, it has a tape player wa wa waaaaaa
if you ever replace your radio, make sure you keep the ears off the factory one..... if you want to do a double din radio you will need them, and they are $45 each from the stealership

Mike, get the escort that has the gps and red light camera detection..... looks like you need it. my buddy has it (about $500) but if it detects the same false frequency at the same location it will actually block it from going off again....
