9500ix FTW!
I've been pulled over once for it since getting it two years ago. I was getting paced and ended up getting a warning. It also helped me get away once when I thought I saw a cop trying to pull a u-turn on the interstate and got out of there with the quickness.
Mine was like $350 on Amazon because it was cheaper back then and they just happened to have a 20% off coupon that was valid then. I got really lucky.

Valentine 1 FTW. Arrows plus bogey counter wins every time. I have had 9500ix, Escort redline, Escort 8500x50, Bel 995 and Bel 955. Hands down get the valentine 1 and then use your gps to pick up on all the red light camera's and I am sure you know where they are all by know. The 9500ix has a weakness since it is based on the m4 platform like the x50. Read up online about the differences between all of them. Pick up a 30 day return unit from mike valentine direct and you will get a unit that has brand new casing, latest updates and 10% off plus no tax and 2 day shipping as well. I picked up the grand touring package and added a conceal display to it. My total was $457 shipped OTD for all 3 pieces including hardwire equipment. I love being able to pick up police on k band about 1.5-2 miles away and the ramp up is hands down awesome and very realistic.

faiz you are very passionate about this topic i c - and yes i am learning all of the lights because i keep gettin pictures mailed to my house!! Thanks for all that info - i guess i'll do some lookin' round before i buy -
Fith, i think maybe the radio i had before was out of an 04' - the radio i have in the car now is a bose but its prob. from an 03.... or - that option only shows up when the engine is running or the car is driving... which would be weird and is somewhat doubtful lol

350, let me know how much. Not sure what i want. I have the b&m shifter in right now. Still getting use to this carbonetics twin disc. Fugger grabs hard and quick (thats what she said) lol Couldnt play too much with the rain and my tune is off a little bit without the torque converter. Will go see steve when i get back in town to get it fixed up

Newp, it's not really worth it to be honest, especially if there's no one to compete against. Basically the only people who I beat are the new people who aren't used to the car or AutoX. Plus TMS is really slippery, and they make tighter courses there, so when Chris offered I was happy to oblige. I was actually getting a bit of understeer in some spots in his Z so I know I would have been all over in the FX.
I noticed they tech'ed me though, even with the hood closed and no number on the door. I guess they recognized it and knew it was okay from last time.
