My AAM HFC's did not have the little tabs to mount like the oem cats and V3 ART pipes have.

I'm still not sure what you mean by mounting tabs. The tabs on my stock and UR cats are just for the stabilizer brace. Is that what you mean?

Yeah, those tabs on the cat body itself that mount to that u-brace. Just like these.

Sorry, I don't know how to say it better haha. I guess it's about 50/50 on if HFC have them, and ART pipes only recently started using them. I think the exhaust shifts a bunch on hard acceleration, so those tabs help to secure it.

Damn, as much as I'd love to join you, Chris, that HPDE looks like a no-go for me.

I just can't afford $599 + round trip gas + racing gas + sleep + food.

I would also love to do that HPDE, but thinking realistically that becomes a $1,000 weekend. Gonna just say it's a no-go for me.

It happened on the track at Eagle's Canyon. No signs beforehand, it just went. I was about 50% throttle through a turn and when I went WOT to exit the turn it gave out. The upstream sensor picked up a lean shift and cut fuel for a split second and then... boom it opened up again.

I took it easy for a bit, but everything seemed OK so I kept racing and even did another session. It was afterward when I noticed the flutter that kind of sounded like an exhaust leak. It just got worse after that. I removed the cat and it isn't bad enough to rattle just by shaking it, but its loud as hell under engine load. Now I need new HFCs and an upstream A/F sensor. Might be a good time to install a wideband A/F sensor with a gauge.
