I pulled out my painted black headlights from the box just now, and one of the TSX lenses slightly tilts back and fort in the projector. Good thing is that same headlight has some weird film inside the plastic cover so I wanted to clean that up anyway. Hopefully the glue used will come apart just as easily with the oven method.
I'm pretty sure if I put it on I would hear it knock back and forth when hitting the gas/brake. It sounds just like the noise of the little cover lifting for the high beam, but I don't think it's that since I can see the lens move.

he just wasnt sure if he could or not, and although it would be the perfect time since i wont be driving it, but instead of putting pressure on him to do it... and not to mention me having to rip front end apart to take them out the day before vaca... it would just be easier to do it another time. i will still let him do it, just dont know when...and i might have to try to bribe someone to letting me use their lights for a nominal fee when he has mine
Stu your FX headlights are modified? I've seen people modify those projectors and they are absolutely badass.
Travis maybe you could try asking Chris Filthymoto to rent his headlights? Since I don't think he DD his Z. I could be wrong though.

Anyone know where the schedule is for the rest of the AutoX's at TMS? HyperKnight was asking so he could schedule vacation time for one since he works weekends. I've been trying to get him to go forever lol. I don't know if he would race, but he has a Camaro now. I told him the 18th would be good I think, but I might be gone.

I bought some from a friend in NY when he sold his FX. They are painted black on the inside, I think blacked out reflector, and the TSX lens. Nothing too special, but it makes for a good look, especially on a black FX, and they were cheap enough that I couldn't really pass it up.
Anyone happen to have an 03 Touring BOSE Headunit and Subwoofer Amp around? Need to test to see which it is that is giving me issue. Thought it was the Amp again but redid the fix and no dice so far. Thinking maybe either the Amp gave up the ghost for good or the Headunit is now the culprit. Just need to borrow until I figure out which it is.
Thank You in advance.
Also, anyone overly familiar with doing the rear axle click fix on the 03? Looks like just a lube issue but no torque wrenches large enough to do this. Happy to throw some scratch, beer, or whatever you'd like your way.... within reason! Lol.

I got that axle noise a few years ago. It was a weird noise to hear, and I'm surprised I actually managed to find out what it was. I had it done at the dealer since there was a TSB for it.
Car only has 40,xxx miles on it too.

Yeah, I was very much in warranty at that point. I'm guess you've looked at DIY's and just don't want to try it yourself? I know a guy on the FX forums made one, but there are probably ones on here too.
Looks like most people don't have to do anything but take the axle nut off, put some proper grease in there, and put it back on.
