Here are some pics of my plugs that I just took out....they seem to be pretty Normal looking for the amount of mileage & usage they went thru.
Being that I Track & AutoX....they aren't in that bad of shape....plus very little oil if any in the plug chambers. I think I was lucky and had no issues with the Valvecovers leaking.
There was only one thing that bugged me when I was changing them out....I had only one Coil pack pulled apart from the plug and upper square unit. It seemed like it just went back together...but I was unsure since all the others came out intact.
Anybody see something weird or out of the ordinary...please chime in.
Also....here is a vid of the Z after I cleaned everything out....I cleaned the MAF, Throttle body, and replaced the plugs. I had a MAF code on my OBD II after I started it up...but I drove around, warmed up the engine....and then did a ECU reflash. It cleared everything and no CEL is on now....Z sounds like normal and has it's Pep back in her again. I Drove around for about 20-30 mins before I reflashed the ECU. I also have a OBD II, but didn't use it to clear the code...I reflashed instead.

Chris - Your plugs look fine, so most likely not your plugs. Maybe it just needed to be reset.
Here's what my plugs looked like when I pulled them out after 43K miles (~148K miles). Maybe this is why my car throws random misfire codes every once in a while. Cyl 1 and 4 were like this. The others looked like yours.
Admittedly, I should have changed them out more frequently, especially since I was running copper plugs for nitrous, but didn't really have time in Chicago... then forgot about it here, lol. That wouldn't have helped the sludge issue, though.

Mike I can help you out if you want....No difficult at all...just a little bit time consuming....'cause I took my time and did one plug at a time so you don't mix up any connectors.

I love the feel of the fresh plugs...like I have a new car again.
So hopefully with time we will see if I start to stutter again.....so I'm gonna drive it for the next few days and put some mileage on her to see if any codes pop up or it stalls out again.
Dude, I wish I could help you out, but I sold my Truck a couple of years ago and wish I had another one. I will get one soon enough.

Dang Chris that is a ton of oil in there ! I maybe had one that had just a little bit of oil on it, but other than that they were good.

Is that a Shelby next to the Camaro ?
------
Drove the Z to work this am and it ran great without any stalling...but time is the true test.
I could go all winter and spring without any stalling then as soon asit gets hot & humid, it could act up again.
But we will see for now since I cleaned out everything.
