DON'T take it to the brush drive through car wash!! Especially a black car..I kill you. Mines also dirtier than its ever been as well. Get optimum no rinse and wash in garage?

 

i went to a spray off wash place, hate doing that too.... i spray the brush with soapy water for literally a minute before i use it... then i barely put any pressure on it. i do need to have someone do a good cleaning wax on it and i need to get with jake to see about his pdr guy getting my dings out of roof.

i get to crawl under car tomorrow and look at exhaust, it has to be rubbing somewhere, sounds like it is vibrating against something... while under there i might as well go ahead and scrape off the freakin plastic bag that melted on it.

Oh man those aren't any better. I would have just sprayed it down and highway air dry. Did you ever get a Detailer to get the swirls out?

 

Q, is correct....I go to those coin - op sprayers just because they have really good High pressure soap. I usually just put in $1.75 and that is plenty of time to spray it down with soap and rinse. I have a synthetic shammy and it takes no time to wipe it down.

No....I have a 20g O/U grade III Browning Citori that is worth around $1300
I hope to get $950 - $1100 for it. But it might be hard to sell right now.

On a serious note... who is going to the Grand Am race with us March 1-2? The tickets are only $59 and the travel costs can be kept pretty low as well. Jason Z-YA wants to meet us there and he's waiting to get a ticket so he can buy one with some my350Z guys. Who's in?

So I got my State Insp. this AM..... everything was going great until a second employee came out and pointed out my Taillights were tinted.

He told me he could fail me and I could come back or I could leave now with out paying. I showed him it was just vinyl and it peels back....and said could I just peel it back half way for the inspection ?......he was like no, sorry. So I pulled them off.

He showed me in their manual that as of June 2012 last year no vehicle could pass inspection with any material hindering the brake lamps what so ever.
Also told me that Insurance companies are beginning to not pay for your car if you get rear ended.

 

Man I wouldn't have peeled them off. I would have just gone to a different shop. Heck you could have borrowed my untinted taillights.

 

It was no big deal...I can put them back on...but I think I will leave them off since the Insurance companies can deny your claim if you get rear-ended.
Even tho I don't drive the Z much....I would hate for me to get rear ended and have them void my claim because of the tails.
It's just not that important to me right now. I may put them back on later.

i would have gone somewhere else also, they take their 8 dollar an hour job too seriously. there are alot of cars that have tinted tails from the factory. you could see the lights just fine with the tint on there

the place i went overlooked my window tint, tail light tint, never hooked up the gas cap thing... but it was friend of a friend thing

 

I'd like to go to see what i can get for my AR. I think I'm going to sell it since i never use it and prices are at such a premium right now.
