You need to check it out. Chris P says there is some differences, but I'm not too sure.
You are correct on them looking similar but I do believe the lower runners were shaved like 1/4 inch or whatever... thats the only difference..

Another good comparison

Anyone with a daily (other than the Z) can DIY this...it just takes time is all.. Rob (aka SexyRob) did this and his had more gains than the MREV.. He ported and polished his iirc..

Either way Chris - you will need to get another tune to really get the benifits of your extra 5-10 ponies..if that..

Props on getting it installed - I guess my $25 dollar install price was too expensive?

Jake - those two have very obvious differences. The pic that Chris sent me shows two that are virtually identical. He has two that look exactly what's on the left in your pic. The one on the right... is that stock or MREV?

The ones he has show "ML1" on one of them and "ML3" on the other. Is that just Motordyne's version tag?

thats cause of the angle he took the pic...you cant really see the shave if you take the pic side by side looking down... IIRC he sent me the same pic..

J - that install was a biotch! see how SIKKY's diff bushing sticks out - thats the ONLY way it would line up where the ear bushings bolt up...

that **** bushing was taken out 4 times before we got it right..

I spoke with Chris P. and he say that the HR engines have a different lower plenum and that the DE engines are more like the Mrev2's with the exception of the shaving.

I will post up a pic of mine that is better quality. I seen you guys a phone pic that I took from a computer screen.

I saw on the web what was an oem plenum and the Mrev2 side by side like what Jake posted....so in my mind I was expecting my plenum to look very much one on the Web. but it was an HR lower plenum that I was looking at....and not an oem DE plenum.

So Chris P. told send Tony a pic and ask him to identify it.

Travis, don't worry about it. I'm busy the next few days so it's all good. I just wanted to see how they looked but I don't need to do that and I don't want to hold you up.

Lol, of course the HR does. They have a completely different plenum!

I said the non-rev lower plenum is what was already on your car. What Jake posted (2nd picture, right-side) looks to be a revup lower plenum. There might be different versions within those 2 main categories, but I'm not sure. MRev2 is a modified non-rev lower plenum, iirc.

Ok so now it makes sense. Jake's pic shows a non-revup next to a revup and Chris' pic shows his stock non-revup next to a slightly modified non-revup (MREV2). Say all that 3 times fast.

Right.. almost. Jake's 2nd pic shows an MRev2 (or a copy of it) next to a stock revup.

Yes, I always thought my plenum was going to look like the one that Jake posted....it was my mistake because I had no idea the HR plenum was different. All the images I saw were like that.

It just threw me for a loop when I saw mine and the Mrev2 being so close.

But on a better note, I got a hold of a Go Pro Hero2 on CL....it's like new.

Picked it up from him today.

Nice

And on another note, I finished a DIY for the alignment jig. Just FYI
