Ah, the Mike's Mount for the old Escort/Bel radar detectors. I have one of those, too, but sold all my Escorts and Bels. I only have the V1 now and it uses a different mount, every variation of which are stupid overpriced.

In the Z, my V1's mounted behind the passengers on the roof lining. It's never under direct sun light and it's truly out of sight. No suction cups or the marks they leave on the windshield to worry about, either. I race with the radar mounted (turned off) so I know it's on there good.

The only thing is, I don't have a regular suction mount so I can't use the V1 in other cars.. Gotta come up with something since I don't want to pay $35-70 for a mount.

It took me to drive 2 hours to get to work from McKinney to Carrollton this morning. TX people need to learn how to drive better. Any time it rains or snows, everybody freaks out and drives like **** around here.

Weather was not bad at all (although, I only have a 5 minute drive). People were driving at least 20mph under the speed limit and I felt like I was racing by everyone. It's overly cautious drivers who cause accidents and delays.

Northern 121 heading southbound, including the service roads, just barely crawled along this morning.

It was just slippery enough to freak out those who aren't used to seeing snow, I guess.

Personally, I like the slip and slide weather you get with snow..

Out of all the diff types of racing I've done, ice rallies on frozen lakes of WI were the most fun. I need to do this again.

When I was driving out in west Texas a couple weeks ago they had I-20 closed for plowing. It was still pretty bad but at least navigable. It's not too bad in this photo, but a few times I heard my car scraping on the snow in the middle. The worst was when this 18 wheeler decided to go in the unplowed left lane and would blow snow all over your windshield. My wipers and mirrors had a layer of ice on then for a couple hours.

We've been trying to tell you... you're not going to hurt your car at autocross. It's just driving.
