No work tomorrow...need the time to get better because of this cold that I acquired from my wife
. THANK YOU MLK for your dream. Now I get to stay home and heal my body and enjoy the time off / $$$.
TRAV are you sure that your issue is not the oem CSC (concentric slave cylinder) and not the clutch. Your HR has known issues with weak CSC which is internal to the transmission versus being slapped on the side of the tranny like older models. That is the part you linked earlier.

it is more than likely the slave cylinder, it went out on me about 3 months after i bought the car, i think i checked it before but i fell out of the range. jake do you think we can do the swap out orr what are your thoughts??
why rebuild and waste so much money. Just slap a low mileage tranny and call it a day. I can't imagine a used tranny being more than $500 - $750 for an auto. I can't imagine the cost of parts and labor to repair/rebuild a 160k miles old transmission.
Ask jake for his contact in grand prairie for the junk yard and start looking around. I would only rebuild if you are trying to have your tranny hold more power. If you are stock or pretty much stock and even some FI members. I would stick with an auto tranny, new fluids, transgo and some sort of cooler and call it a day.
60 k miles

your slave should be covered under extended warranty but the clutch is not. Your issue is slave and should be taken care of by nissan or your warranty. I bet you the clutch is perfectly fine. Jake should be able to do it since you are practically doing a clutch job. He has done plenty of clutch jobs, master cylinders and even slave cylinders (older style). It will be slightly harder due to routing cables from internal slave to master but I think it should be doable. I would trust jake if he is comfortable. Regardless I would be pushing for my extended warranty to cover it using the recall letter as proof that this is not a wear and tear but design defect.
STU that is something I have wanted to do forever (just engine rebuild). Even spoke to jake about picking up a nice rev up core and rebuilding it on the side with help from jake and ilya. He tells me I am paranoid and to just drive my car lolz. I like picking up slickdeals and have noticed tons of rev up cores cheap along with cheap forged pistons, forged rods and other parts during part out time. I am here for the long run and would love to make a slickdeal forged engine and learn a ton in the process. Alas time is money and I have neither
i will call them again, but since the master and slave have already been replaced with OEM, and went out again a little over a year later and 23k miles, i am really skeptical about putting the same POS in there again

yeah when i first got it i was all over the place, live in irving and worked in downtown, longview many times, san angelo, i was making trips from irving to mansfield about 4 times a week, it has really slowed down ....now i put maybe 800-1000 miles a month. i usually hit the time frame to get oil changed before mileage now
and technically it has been close to year and half now, bought it in july 2011

Gonna just Track, and AutoX with the RPF1's,,,what the hell ?
I also still have my MB Battles with the RS-3's on them.....deciding whether or not to sell them or put some better rubber on them.

That sucks....do you drive it in the Triptonic mode all the time ?

Also do you drive it like a manual and down shift ?
Down shifting in it in Triptonic mode will kill your Tranny !
I have to work....SUCKS !
