the bartender i talk to there says there are some cameras but not sure where the point, she suggested he go talk to the manager. if i go up there today i will talk to him

well i just got a call from the place that guys insurance company uses to go over the estimates from the shop... they wanted me to email pics to them. she did inform me that usually the insurance doesnt move forward with repairs til they get the pics and go over the estimate. so hopefully in the near future it will start getting fixed

 

I dropped mine off at the shop today and picked up my rental car. Insurance is currently covering it under my uninsured motorist coverage which cut my deductible in half.

 

This could be a blessing in disguise Pat. The body shop will wash your car for you.

dang, that was quick,. but when dealing with your own insurance it is faster

 

HAPPY DANCE... i called that guys insurance company to see the status of it, they accepted responsibility and are reviewing the estimate..... my baby will be in the shop before long. while there they are buffing out the rest of the car and painting the door handles the same color as the body.

 

Awesome news for you Travis....do you think they will paint my door handles also ?

Why do you need to pay out of your own pocket? What shop is this you're talking to? I'd be suspicious of body shops buffing anything. Body shops are crappy at detailing/buffing vehicles. When I got my car they "buffed" my car. Well all they did was leave buffer trails on the entire vehicle.

 

just painting the handles and the buffing, since that is part of the damage from the wreck... but now you have me worried about it.. i am taking it to grapevine collision (who grapevine nissan uses). i just dont want part of the car to have fresh new paint and the other parts have the fine scratches it has now, wanted it to come back to me all pretty

 

Im glad everyone is getting their rigs fixed... My truck was also in a bit of a fender bender... A bad enough one to make the insurance total out my truck.. But Im keeping it and running with the money (to fix my truck better than evar!)..

This will be the biggest project Ive done since I took the engine out of the Z.. Parts will be ordered soon - the rebirth of the Titan will begin..
