For mine something had to be made, plus I did a custom change so that probably didn't help.

Travis, windshield is getting replaced Tuesday, so I should be good to go for next weekend if that still works for you.

Results posted for the Summer AX by NTAXS.

Congrats to everyone for driving really well today.

Scott....like always burned up some great times and almost took Mcshane out for the Win in "X" class !

Way to go Scott for finishing in second place for X class.

And big HUGE thanks to Scott for letting me co-drive his Z for this event....his car handles so well....I'm not sure that I would have gotten as good of a time if I was in my own car ??? But thanks again for allowing me to drive it.

I did get to hold on to a second place spot in the afternoon....only to be under Ashley in the Boosted miata ! So I don't feel so bad with him driving that little car and beating me.

Pics of the times are of our classes only.

Poor Chris P hit those two cones on his last run, which would have him in second. I vaguely remember where I think he hit them, but it certainly wasn't a big hit. Must have just tapped one and I think hung the tail out a bit into the other. Always frustrating when you hit cones but don't even remember doing so from just getting a little closer than you realize.

Great seeing everyone again!

^ Congrats again in your class X debut. 2nd place overall is insane and for it to be a 350Z is just pure win. I'm starting to think the times I beat you were just flukes, rofl.

Haha, it's all good. I was told I tagged one by the slalom in the back and right by the finish. All I care about is that I was consistently getting faster and it looks like I was dropping times with each run. I just need to learn to clean up my runs and figure out the course a little sooner. Looking at the course map before the race and coming early to walk the course more might help also.

It was great to see everyone as well. We (including Stu) need to hang out again soon.

Ashley is a guy? In the sheet posted it shows Ashley has a 2013 Subaru Wrx. And that Mike has the Miata. Congrats on the times.

Thanks Chris, I was pretty excited with the results.

Hope you make it into the AX school. They will probably talk about course learning. The key points: walk the course enough that you can replay the whole thing in your mind( I had a hard time being able to do this at first, I got better by walking the full course but focusing on memorizing just the first third of the course.) When you walk figure out which cones you want to be looking for as you drive (looking ahead and finding those key cones early gives you time to drive the line that gets you close to the cone with the car in the position you want).

The course maps are nice in general. But your not going to really get the visual by studying the map. And the course can change a little bit when its finally set.

We have a great bunch of guys, but walking the course with everyone can be distracting. Walk the course by yourself and focus on the course.

Walk the course like you would drive it. If your going to drive close to a cone, walk close to the cone.

Had a good time at RNH, have a good week everyone.

That's a fantastic point that i was just about to make myself. When we walk together we all start talking and don't pay attention to the course. It does nothing for us other than give us a little exercise.

I was thinking a gun range day might be fun. I know most everyone is into that, and I need to shoot a few more before I buy.

I think I'm going to be gone the 18th of August, which blows.
