Back in Black with the Blackie Trackies complete with R888's - i will say the footprint with the new rubber is much more grande than with the RE-11s - Also new lower ball joints and energy bushings in random places
So I have a quote from Top Koat, but he threw me a curve ball. Said I needed to completely disassemble the caliper, seals and pistons. I feel comfortable doing the seals and pistons, since I can buy the rebuild kit, but the whole caliper? Anyone local had to disassemble the whole caliper to get it PC? Read other threads and it sounds like you shouldn't. Thanks
As for a complete disassemble... isn't it just separating the caliper by removing the bolts?
I actually plan to rebuild and powdercoat mine very soon so I'm curious to see how well yours match OEM brembo gold.
From what I've seen yes. But also read those were 1 time use bolts. There's an O-ring between two halves and what I read on another forum (forgot which one) if you damage or misplace it, you're SOL. Nissan nor Brembo sell that part. This week I'm going to remove the pistons and seals to get ready for the PC. I'll defiantly post pics when it's complete.

I guess you could just leave them together and powdercoat that way. In the DIY that Jae posted below the guy clearly left them as one whole piece when powdercoating. I'm OCD so I'll do some more research and make sure, but I guess it's possible to leave alone.
Top Koat gave me a $210 quote to match the brembo gold. Haven't heard back from the place in McKinney.
Try RB Chroming in Mesquite. They've done a lot of calipers for the supra community. The owner has a Supra so he's posted a lot of his work on his own car. From the pricing sheet on their site it's $50/caliper.

LOL yeah forgot about the little numbers

It lasted about 4 seconds until his wheel stopped spinning. (notice I said wheel not wheels)
You cant haz no Brembo Travis..
it was both wheels, just one was stronger than the other.... if we hadnt burned off about 500 miles from my tires in that parking lot i might have got the launch better... but yeah i did spin in first til i hit rev limiter
