[DFW]: DFW's Lounge
It does seem like everything has been a bit slow. I think the cold weather has a bit to do with that though honestly. The lake at Texas Motor Speedway was frozen over the other day, first time I have seen that in Texas, the first Imported Performance monthly meet is coming up soon at least.
yeah the pool at our complex is frozen, well atleast the top layer
I had someone come and test drive the car yesterday and is supposed to go to his bank today to get the funds so hopefully that will happen....
Anyone going down to Houston this weekend for IFO?

Lol Jeremy where have you been dude? This is Stephen btw. Check the meets section, giving bww another try here in a couple of weeks. You ever sell your wheels?
Damn, Kristi and Jeremy both return to the forum on the same day. Welcome back.
We'll have to hook up...I'm pretty close to you....2499 & Flower Mound Rd.
I just finally bought a bike & rode it home from Keller....it was bit chilly also.
Here are a couple of new pics from the snow day.

Thanks. I may be moving to Houston soon. I've got an interview this week.
I plan to slowly convert it from my daily driver to a track toy.
I've already begun prepping for my first track day at Texas World Speedway on March 13 and 14.
For looks I've got a stock spoiler and rear wiper delete. For the real sh*t, I got K&Ns, Mobil 1, and Royal Purple differential oil (will switch to Redline next). I've got Redline MT-90 and MTL sitting on my desk, as well as an Agency Power SS clutch line. In the mail I have Stoptech SS brake lines (thanks akomsr1). Soon I will order an Akebono BBK. In the future I will buy some SBC Enkei RPF1 (18x9.5+15) with Nitto NT05s. At some point I'll get an exhaust (probably Invidia Gemini), UpRev tune, coilovers, bushings, sways, etc.
For now I've got to get used to the Z's handling. I've been driving an IS350 which is fast, but soft and has a tendency to push. Its engine was great and so were the brakes, but I hated its numb feeling.
The 350z is a totally different animal. I wanted one since high school, when I had a 1996 and 1997 240sx (prepped for autocross).
The Z is all I wanted the 240sx to be. The VQ35HR, albeit not as smooth as the IS350's, makes huge power in the top end. It is every bit as fast as the IS350 in a straight line, but when I drive it I feel connected to the vehicle.
It took some time to get used to the VLSD's tendencies, compared to IS350's open diff. The Z rotates a lot faster, and under throttle it does not spin the inside wheel, like the IS. I have found I have to unwrap the wheel much faster. The only thing holding the car back are me and the Sumitomo HTR Ziii tires (stock sizes).
Now for the beauty shots. Take note of the rear wiper delete. I spent two hours painting, sanding, painting, polishing, painting, sanding, painting and clearing. I just wanted to do something on the car while trapped inside by freezing temperatures.
DupliColor Platinum Silver matches Silver Alloy pretty well. I did the 1 inch and 7/8 inch Nylon plugs from Lowes delete. The DIY is somewhere on the site. It was kind of scary taking a file to my new car.

It's been really quiet from the holidays & all...but now some peeps have risen from the cracks and frozen streets.
Good luck on the House buying...there are alot of them out there & it's a buyers market so don't let the asking price detour you on a bid.
