so after a chitchat just shootin' the breeze, I read up on Zcon this year.....nashville, TN. luckily it's close to the lady's birthday and we're thinking about going. july 28th-aug 1st. we could organize a mass texas rollout? it's a way off, but somethign like this will require planning
All of you guys make very valid points.. and i know that turboing or doing a motor swap is something that would be slightly dumb to do if my only justification was to race it or to show people on the internet. Honesty 3 five zero.. you hit the nail EXACTLY on the head. If i did something else to the 370, it would be for the sole reason of "personal enjoyment" not any of the other reasons. The truth is... I would like to race my car... but do i? No i dont have time nor can i travel very often. BUT with that said, i really enjoy having a fast car. There is just something about being pushed back in my seat that makes me
. who knows.. maybe i should just sell my 350, and buy a beater then go all out with my 370... ughh too many choices.

yeah, i ate dinner at tei-an, a new fancy little japanese joint in downtown dallas. suppose to be really good authentic japanese cuisine so i was doing some research. during my research, i found the food to be meh for lots of $$$$$$. will not go back but i did get a few ideas on some new dishes i'll be working on.

Nexx, you weren't impressed ?

I've been to Tei -An a few times now....I like that place. Did you try the Soba sampler ? They also have a great Curry dish.
The owner had a Sushi place on Greenville called Teppo's and sold it. He went back to Japan and studied the making of noodles for a few years and opened this place.
It has been written up a lot.

been to teppo too, its good. their yakitori is ok but not all that its cracked up to be. maybe its just that yakitori is yakitori, you really cant expect much from skewered food. my expectations were probably too high for both places. i tried the jack mackeral sashimi, 5 pieces for $20? I tried their grilled special fish of the day, which turned out to be a common korean side dish fish you can get at market for very cheap. we got 2 pieces 3x2 inches and they charged $8? i did like their soba, which i ordered with the black sesame dipping sauce. i love cold soba so it doesnt have to be great for me to like it. their tempura shrimp was solid, light and buttery. the white seaweed salad was lovely too. their yaki udon was pretty ordinary for a $15 noodle dish. their cost to make that dish is about $2.00 from what i saw. the interior was very classy but boring as hell at the same time. the ambiance was dreary and lacked energy. the japanese girl, who looked malaysian to me, was very nice and knowledgeable and provided good service. if the pricing wasnt so high and their portions werent so tiny, i would go back. for the price i expect either out of this world taste and ambiance or good serving portions. i dont think they hit a home run in any of those three categories.
Awesome info btw..
I just don't think it's worth 40$-50$+ a meal most of the time. Don't lie whataburger is your favorite J. They did gave you an entire box of ketchup before.
oh, i have no problem with anyplace.......give me a hole in the wall diner and im there!
i lub me some whataburger........i still have about 1/3 of my box of 200 i got that night..lol
