I guess there was a tire that was going to be trashed...but it was plenty good and he remembered my tires & sizes from when they re-painted my Volks. How cool is that !

He is a very honest & well experienced guy to bring any wheel problems with. So if you have Rash or bends I would give them a call and ask for Eric.

I wouldn't say he will get a free tire....but he will definitely treat you right.

Thanks again Eric.

Hey Thank you Jake for helping me with this new Bose install....I got out my CD's also from the old head unit.

Here is what it looks like inside if anyone needs to get to some CD's stuck in the head unit. Just take unit out and undo top casing of the stereo.

BTW, Jake I think you can switch faces on the units. Here is a shot of the front and the back of it.

Last pic is of the new unit....since it was from an different year, the color is a bit light than mine was.

Can you guys tell ???

Looks like the unit came out of a 03 model. The cubby from the 03's is that light gray color.

Well the Z was Silver so, I guess the interior wasn't as Dark as an all Black interior.

I can live with it. I guess if I really feel adventurous, I can pull it out and switch faces on the front.

_______

Kristi,

Where you been ? Did you sell the Z yet ? Give us a recap....How's the BF ?

lol I don't think silver z has different color interior. What year did the unit came from? IMO you should have switched it when you had your other face plate off already. At least you have an extra face plate now that you can use as a false face plate when/if you ever decide to go with a double din.

Yes, that's what I was thinking when I got it off.....a false front oem that could cover the double din.

Anyways I didn't really have the time to jack with the face at the time, but once I got around to it it came off really easy.

driveway has enough angle in it to trip it...

Nexx,

I thought about finally getting one of those, But my extent of Audio / Visual needs while driving the Z ( if and when I do ) is very limited. I usually just listen to the Radio.....AM at that for traffic, news, & weather. But on weekends I will listen to the FM radio.

I probably do need to just go ahead & up grade the whole system, but I'm not into spending a lot of money when I just listen to the radio. That would be like buying an HD tv and watching 480 resolution on it.

You got one for cheap ?

Ya if all you're doing is listening to AM/FM I would probably stay with the stock head unit. Aftermarket h-u radio tends to SUCK.
