What kind of bike do you have ?

Just for fun I went into HD's web site and configured a bike to my specs....
...and this is what it would look like. This bike would cost about $11,500 plus TTL.

Jody, there's no such thing as a replacemt for the mighty Z-YA. His knowledge and willingness to help are unmatched. Of course I'm a little biased because I'm lucky enough to be able to call him one of my best friends now.

I bought my CBR from Ft Worth Motorsports (Honda Town then though). They have new ownership, hence the different name, but the sales rep is still there. He is a white haired dude in his 50's and his name is Butch. If you go in he should be there. He's not pushy at all and gave me the deal I wanted. I was in and out in 5 minutes and he ordered the bike I wanted from their warehouse. Obviously I did payout papers when I picked it up, but he made the initial deal great.

Here's the kicker... Because of new ownership I don't know how much he can do. He still treats you right, but I dunno if he can give you the same type of deal I got 4 years ago.

If you're looking for used, I would certainly try craigslist before any dealerships. After getting an idea of prices from craigslist, I was pretty shocked at what dealers charge for used bikes.

I have no experience buying new, so I'll let others chime in about that.

BeeAyche, I have a Honda 750 Shadow....it's a Cruiser. I love riding it.

I used to ride a VFR in So.Cal....but I actually love this Cruiser....it's really easy to ride and very comfortable too.

I would only like the pipes to be louder or maybe one day I will get me a larger engine like a 1300cc or something like that....but for now this 750 is fine. I drilled out the resonators in the pipes for a bit more exhaust....but still need more sound. Loud pipes saves lives !

I ride a CBR1000RR. I always tell people to just buy the litre bike cause you'll want it later. But at the same time, I know a few guys that just love their 600s.

I warped one of them from making a stupid amateur mistake. Got then replaced but I have a bad wheel bearing (I think) need to look at it some more but I havnt had them time due to work. My company got bought out again and me being a boss means I have a lot of work to do over the next few weeks. But I got one raise and a promotion so far and I'm getting quite a bit of overtime and probably another raise.

^^^right on holmes -

so I scored some really beefy tires...this is one of them after 2 months.. this is show how important an alignment can be..

so today I got my alignment from COBB - I have a 5 yr alignment @ NTB but everytime I go there - they give me shiet about my "aftermarket" parts... I guess having coils, camber, and toe arms means it should cost more......MEH - I got 8 alignments out of them so I think I got my $$'s worth..

Anywho - COBB was baller..they did great and just driving in the street I felt the back end NOT want to kick out..

after that - got ALL my tires that have been in my garage mounted and balanced.

16 tires left my house...only 8 came back (all the other tires were DONE from previous drift events or just worn - but still on rims..)

Anyone have any tires for sale....CHEAP...?

Damn, I fugged up on the tires at discount . They were 245/40 18 Nitto for $76 bucks each. Dunno if you run 18s. They were normally $156 each. That was a good deal !

Dude! I sold my shadow 750 last year. I miss it. Drilled the resonators the same way - talk about a wrist breaking process.

Jake I've got my stick wheels now. Two of which have tires on them but they are balding. If youre interested make me an offer. I don't really want to get rid of them but I don't see myself having a use for them anytime soon and I need money bad for my coilovers before I knock my damn fender off lol.

Dang Adam....I wish you still had it too. I need somebody to ride with on the weekends and stuff. I don't ride that much...but if gas prices get high again...I will be riding it to work a lot more.

Funny on the resonators huh ? I tweaked my wrist like a dozen times drilling those things out !
