Garages were meant for cars/trucks/motorcycles. Everyday I walk the dog and see cars in the driveways and open garages full of boxes. I dont get it, other than some Christmas stuff (in attick) I don't keep cr@p in boxes. If it has to be in a box, then I dont need it. My garage has my car, wife's car, my motorcycle, my tools, and misc car detailing stuff in shelves.
Lawn mower, and landscaping equipment go in the shed in back yard.
Hope your rides were ok
Dude, I agree and can't understand why anybody with a garage that doesn't park in it because it's full of crap is beyond me ???
I have a 3 car garage and can park all 3 cars in it....but usually I have some notice for the severe storm & hail warnings....this time the 3rd car was out on the street. At least I Park the Z, Bike & wifey's SUV in the garage.
This one just caught me off guard.

Haha!
Ashley, Titco, and myself plan on getting a place together. I don't want an apartment, I see it as throwing money away when I could be owning something. We will need room for three 300zx's!!! Titco is picking his up within the next month and I almost have Ashley sold on one. Titco already has mass amounts of tools, should be baller. If we get half the setup you have Jake I'll be more than content in my place. You have a badass little crib.
If you guys don't mind me asking, what was your down payments on your houses? Or at least what is the average down payment?

Down payment would depend on your credit-debt ratio, size of loan, and money earned. First time I layed down money was the 1st month's mortgage payment. But I am a vet on a VA loan and was not required to have PMI insurance. All at 4.25%
Just remember, when buying a house, you are locked in to that location. It's not like an apt where you can just move away if you want. And in many new places you have HOA fees and you must maintain yard, etc. People like to say buying a house is an investment, but honestly when you sell it, 95% of the time it goes right to another home so it's not really a liquid asset.
Avg down payment used to be 20%. Now days it depends on lender. Many times you can get in for 5% down. Get a fixed interest rate, and don't get into something that is way too big. Bigger house = higher maintenance costs = higher bills = higher annual taxes.
