Well, you may have me beat ... week hrs, mine is the call stuff... on call every other night, every other weekend and weekends is pretty much banked for 6 to 8 each day plus all the driving back and forth. The worst part is my call time is really great pay but is taxed as bonus...... so Uncle Sam makes $$ when I get my **** kicked, not me. And since my 12 day run had such a good start out the gate.... I'm a not gonna be a happy camper come day 10 ! Especially if I get a bunch of this middle of the nite crap !!!!

Well I just got royally screwed over by one of my companies. Fuggers knocked my pay to minimum wage, gave my promotion to someone else and flaunted it in front of me and then they took me off the schedule and were gonna let me show up tomorrow just to find out they didn't need me and tell me to go home. I'm pissed. Thankfully I have my other company right now that I make more money at anyways. But I'm off for the next 5 days.

ha i'm just not a suburb guy. i like townhomes and lofts, and the city feel, not a huge fan of the sea of houses, with weekends consisting of nothing but bbq with people who's highlight of their life is the kids soccer game 2 weeks ago, and trips to the mall or target.

but i agree, hobbies, travel, and no kids = win.

Yeah, the kids thing.... nothingeft in your pocket but some change and IOUs. It's gotta be what you want, for me it was the most important and enjoyable part of my life... even as a single not the way I wanted but still awesome. Then when they are all grown up..... TOYS, TOYS TOYS in the attic !

Emad, Let me just say that if your gonna have kids soon...you will want to be in the suburban areas more so than in the city itself. Schools systems are much better and really every suburb out here is like living in your own city.

I think of the whole metro-plex area as the city.....only very rural areas do I consider it Suburban....really we all live in the Sub-Urban area's of Dallas.

But I'm from LA...where it is all one huge city.

I do have to say though, if I were young and ready to settle down dont know if I would have made the same decision for a family. Things are soooooo different now. Im not sure its as easy as it was when I made that choice. World has changed and society, well nuff said there. My kids have been impacted by alot of the negative aspects of all that, so much more than I was. I told my daughter not to be pressured by anyone about marriage or family, would be upset if she decided not to have children.
