Default New owner and head light woes

Hello everyone...I recently bought an 04 enthusiast with 63k miles on it. It's in pretty good condition... Anyway so the head lights on my car are all yellowed and cruddy. I found a pair of the non hid head light lenses for a good deal from a friend and thought it shouldn't be too difficult to get them to work... well I was wrong, I had no idea that it would be such an issue to change out the lenses period, let alone switch out and mod the other ones. I don't have too much experience with this type of thing. I'm wondering if there is anyone in the DFW area that could do it for me...any shops or local people.
Anyway so here are a couple of pictures I will attempt to upload on here, just recently bought these rims for 400 bucks new

Why not move the entire harness from the HID headlight to the NON HID housing?
I've done that and it's not hard to do so, bro.
welcome btw!

Hey rayvendawn,

Welcome to the site and congrats on the Z.

All I know is that I have swapped out my headlights for '06's and we pretty much removed the whole front bumper to swap them out....but it didn't take more than an hour or so.

Check with Acidjake, JasonZ-ya, 3hree5ive0ero, or Allstar.....they can help guide you. Did you search for a DIY ???

This is relatively simple to do.

Click the below link to see how to remove the front bumper:
https://my350z.com/forum/body-interi...ss-06-ccs.html

Once you remove the front bumper, you'll see 4 bolts that hold the headlight in place. Undo the 4 bolts and the clips of the harnesses and you're ready to repeat the process backwards with your new headlights.

Default Headlight covers

Hey, for what its worth...oh a whim I polished the plastic covers on my '03 with Mother's Mag Polish and they look brand new. A coat of wax and hopefully they will last that way.

Are you saying you purchased the lenses, or did you buy the whole housing ?

Sorry everyone..i did read the write up on how to switch it out but I don't have any of the tools to do it. It's my whole headlight that I bought, the new ones are black. Mine were polished when I first bought my car in Jan but they are all yellowed up again.
My new ones have been sitting in the floor of my living room for months. I have a picture of them but right now I'm on my crappy phone so I can't upload em.
Btw I am new to the whole Nissan thing, my family is die hard chevy/gm fans and I recently sold my 02 trans am ws6, so it's taking me awhile to get used to how different things are.

Well, if you want to drive up north to McKinney, I can help you put your new headlights on. Most people are going to be closer to you than I am, though.

If I remember correctly, all you need is 1 philips driver, 1 or 2 flat heads, 10 mm socket (maybe a 12mm, also?), extension, and ratcheting wrench. You should have at least some of these, right? If not, they're real cheap and are good to have around.
