Well good news and bad... Today I will be ordering the long block. However I was informed that I can't take my R&R in March. No TX2K12... No Texas Mile... No celebrating my 10th Wedding Anniversary at home with my wife. Hopefully I'll be home in April now. Almost a full year from seeing the States. Any events in April?
who did you order the longblock from?

there is nothing wrong with going cjm but if your horsepower goal is only 600 you can save some money by just going with the aeromotive pump and build the rest of the fuel system. good luck on your build.

I also have yet to find braided lines that come coated to keep from eating holes in my car. I've been building braided brake lines for race bikes for a long time and I haven't found a public supplier of lines with coatings over the braiding to protect the car. That was another selling point for me as well. I priced making my own and the difference wasn't worth the trouble and i have all the tools to make my own lines (easier than by hand).

nice.
and going from 8.8 to 8.5 won't be noticeable. I'm sure they are trying to cut out their manufacturing costs by having 2 sets of pistons close to comp ratios like that.

I've been looking at the dampened rails and I was wondering if you thought they would be worth the upgrade from my "classic" CJM rails. The website mentions the dampening helps with hesitations which I have some issues with at low rpms.
OP sorry for the thread jack. Good luck on your build and come home soon. Too bad you won't be at tx2k or texas mile. Those are two things I want to hit before I say good bye to texas next summer.

Thanks! Wish I was home too. Oh well... Maybe I'll make 2k13.
