What happened to The Eagle?!?

How can the 3+ million people in North Texas exist without a ROCK station?

 

I know! Russ Martin(105.3 from 3-7) is claiming he beat their ratings down or something like that and the station just wasnt getting enough ratings to stay affloat. But who knows, anyone else have input on this?

 

I friend of mine only listens to that station. I think he said the ratings were sh*t.

yeah... im 18, and i still have it programed in my Z and everytime im flipping through channels, i hit that and me and my friends just go to town on it... its some crazy stuff...

 

I lost Q102 while I was in high school and now I no longer have the Eagle. Clear Channel can kiss my booty, I'll listen to my CDs in protest until I get some real choices in radio stations, instead of them all playing the same crap over and over again.

 

Yep I'd have to agree with you on that one. They play the same songs twice an hour it seems over and over. Drives me up the wall at work when the radio is on.

 

Yeah, its all jacked up, if they get rid of the edge, im gonna **** a brick!!!

 

Clear Channel "says" (I have friends on the inside) that their ratings dropped (from #2 to #8ish) ... so they figured a restructuring was in order ... they were allowed to celebrate their 15th anniversary, then they were dropped.

My question to clear channel is this ...

Do you REALLY think that Oldies will get more listeners than Rock ?

Clear Channel is the ONLY brodcasting compoany that does not take XM in to consideration when they look at ratings ... XM takes a TON of listeners away ... I am an XM'r that has no local antenna on my car (that works) ... I was driving my dad's TT and loved the Eagle ... I was even shopping for a stubby antenna so I could get local ... for the Eagle ONLY !!!
