Default Technosquare (or other) ECU mod for '05 VQ?

Does anyone know if one of the ECU modifiers have cracked the code on the '05 cars yet? I am close to completing my N/A mods and would like to get a tune... anyone know?

At this point in time, I don't think that they even got the 2004 ECU cracked. Check the Technosquare site for more details though.

im not hearing any good things about TS these days. that's why i have decided to hold off on all my mods till they come out with a good system to overcome the ecu, cuz i think it'll be a waste of money.....i have heard that AEM or some other guys will be coming out with a pretty good one by the end of the year

Never heard of SPperformance....

Are they a local Dallas shop? I am from the DFW area myself...

How much was it and how much did it cost to do the installation?

'05 are good to go. Some of the '05 Autos are still waiting for programs. We can flash it for you if its a manual.

'05 Track gained 20lb/ft torque in the mid-range with an AAM Angled Plenum Spacer and Flash.

Dave,

I have an '05 G35 sedan 6MT (298hp version). I already have a Crawford plenum. I can't imagine the spacer really helping in conjuction with the plenum. I am going to dyno my car as is to get a baseline, possibly friday. Next week I have a scheduled install of the Crawford headers and high flow cats. I will dyno again after that. Then I may contact you about the reflash. You guys send the ecu to technosquare or you do the reflash yourselves? How much and what is the down time? I can't be without a vehicle for more than a day or two.

P.S. I'd like to see the dyno sheet of that +20 pft of torque gain...

Maybe it's the flash that gave him the +20Tq, not the spacer.

It had to be. Here is my stock dyno compared to a dyno with just the crawford plenum. I know the spacer and plenum are the the exact same, but they are pretty damn close in air volume. My mid-range stays the same pretty much......

Sorry this was with the spacer and reflash. We saw the 20lb/ft trq gain with the flash. We have created all our own programs here and flash all the ecus ourselves at the shop in Maryland. $595 for the flash. An additional $385 for custom tuning on our dyno.

We can turn it around same day to you with whatever wshipping option you prefer.

I believe he is talking about Scott Performance in Santa Clara, CA.

The key to then unichip, is having a good tuner w/ a dyno on hand. SP is an authorized dealer and can dyno tune it. I was quoted $800 w/ the dyno tune.

i am running injen CAI, UR underdrive pulley, nismo exhaust w/test pipes, kinetix v4 plenum, and the unichip+tuning. that sucks that you were quoted 800. i think i got ripped off since i paid 900 for mine!

I've had the 05 L-Spec reflash for the last two months no problems at all.
