Yes they are permanent. I've had my idle bumped up and have reset the ecu after with no problems or memory loss.

So instead of buying additional WB sensors one could use Cipher.
It does not modify the O2 sensor signals. What I meant with fuel is that you cannot log the factory injector duty cycle in boost becasue the UTEC is acting as a standalone so the Factory information is completely incorrect.

You are correct though. The Datalogging of the stock o2 sensors is a huge benefit (04.5 +).

We have not had a chance to complete testing on the FX45. Hopefully we will be adding the entire Nissan and Infiniti line up over the next few months.

My question is, would it be SAFE to advance the timing 2 degrees without touching the fuel?

+1 and roughly how much additional power can you expect from such a change?

It would be best to make any significant timing changes on the dyno. However, advancing or retarding the timing 2 degress normally does require a a significant change in fuel.

Hope this helps,

Yes, Cipher will work with the F-Con VPRO (you may loose several features like +/-2 degress timing change) but you will be able to adjust the idle and use many of the functions listed in the functionality chart.

Depending on the specific vehicle and upgrades, I'd expect someone to pick up 2 to 4hp on average.

Do you have the installation manual available? And is the communications protocol on the USB bus defined and available?

Can anyone confirm for sure that the Cipher tool can be used to raise the idle speed on a 2004.5 (ULEV2) G35 ? It is a known fact that the Consult tool from the dealership can not do it.

Thanks!
