Not a great tune..You really want to be 13.5 ish from 3000rpms till about 5500-5700 then go into the 12.5 range. Your looks like it is to rich from 5100-5800 then way to lean the rest of the way..if you get the A/F to where you need it, then you advance some timing over what the stock wants and you see the power come back in..It is a PITA but as pen and paper help to take notes as you tune, and take out or add small amounts like .1 and.2's

Aceman: I put your A/F log in an Excel graph. Hope you don't mind, I don't have any new logs of my own to play with.

I'll have to find a log of my base map to compare, but it much flatter, around 12.5, then bounce up to 13.2-13.5 around 4500 rpms and then ran rich to redline.

so did you try keeping the AF steady all the way across the rpm band?? you got the most overall power how you are stating to adjust it?? my car pulls like crazy at 12.5-12.7...

and with the timing, i noticed you said that you backed out some in the midrange?? elaborate please

backed out from the advance or actually retarded it ?? thanks a million, i WILL tune this car myself and i WILL have it running really well!!

You might want to richen it up some near redline. Even though you're NA, its better safe than sorry. Did you notice a weird dip in trq around 4000-4300RPM?

We found the car we did today like ALOT of fuel, and mild timing, we actually advanced timing in the mid range and pulled a bit up top..I reccomend getting it on a dyno to see what the car responds to, it is the only way to see if the changes you make are making a difference..

Rajan: I am now convinced your car is weird..The same map I used on your car made mad power on the car I did today..He was way lean to begin with, your way rich..I really want to take that plenum off, but its too much work for me..lol

Just take your time and be methodical about it..Write down every change you make so you can undo it if you need to...And remember to always save your base map on your pc before changing it.

Then you would have each column be around 1.5 in/hg difference which would give great fine tuning abilities. Not sure if thats possible, but it should be.
You missed the point. On an NA car, as soon as you go to WOT, you come very close to 0psi, as the vaccum is deminished. This spread of resolution is tiny. Why would pay extra for a MAP sensor, only to have a very restricted resolution, when you can use the full spectrum of the factory MAF sensor as your load reference?

Using MAF is your load reference is the best and most accurate method of tuning an NA car. Hell, if we had the resolution, its the best way to tune an FI car as well.

Last time I checked I only use WOT about 1% of the time I drive my car. The more useful cells for anyone who doesn't own a drag car are the ones between 10% and 90% where you spend most of your time driving, and with 1.5 in/hg resolution you could get some very fine partial throttle tuning. In comparison, my Honda map averages 2.7 in/hg resolution. Like I said you don't need a MAP sensor to tune NA, but it definitely should be an option for those of us that prefer MAP sensors.

sometimes when i take it past 6000rpm..the car hesitates for a second..feels like fuel cut off..and then picks it back up right away..im using the 2.3 maps from TX's...i dont have a wideband yet

Went back and cleaned up my tune alittle. Still needs alittle work. So am i right to assume i should be richer from 6500 to 7000rpm? or should i start sooner?

Also it looks like i have some knocks around 6000 to 6100, what should i do to get rid of those?
