Default Utec on Italian rev up engine

These are my mods:
Nismo R-tune headers
Nismo S-tune Exhaust
Crawfors cats
Crawford plenum
Nismo S tune air filter

I'm very disappointed for the number of my Z before Utec...

280 hp at the crankshaft..

anyone experienced similar baseline numbers in the US? Anyone with a stock REVUP engine actually dynoed the 300horses nissan says the engine has? I have the very same engine and I am about to go UTEC...

3 speculations:

1. those are whp numbers, how else would they dyno at the crank unless you pulled the engine or attached the dyno to the driveshaft end? (seems like wheels is easiest place to dyno at, most common)

2. right SAE correction? I couldnt understand the dyno 100% (lack of italian) But i can tell a correction was used to smooth the curve.

3. ECU reset before dyno, did ya do it?

Cuxtopher: those are not numbers at the wheel. measurements are made at the wheel but then calculated at the crankshaft via the dyno program. no idea as to the correction you are talking about. how can you tell? no, the ECU was not reset before the dyno. UTEC mapping was done one the run, ie with the car on the dyno

No way to tell how accurate that number is. The "calculation" for drive train loss is in no way exact. Unless you measure at the crank and measure at the wheels, how to know for sure?

Also I have seen many dynojet graphs that "say" at the crank, but it actually at the wheels. You need to check with your operator (if you think he knows what he's doing).
