Default revup ecu for 287hp motor

Hi I was wondering if anyone w/ the 287hp motor has tried throwing the revup ecu in there to get the higher redline. I have a 03.. and I see some 05 g35 ecus on ebay.. appear to be from a revup motor (I think all manual g35c from 05 up are revup)

thanks!

no and dont even try. just get a technosqure basic flash that raises the rev limiter and removes speed limiter.

yeah I just don't like how the ecu isn't "stock" anymore and I wonder if nissan can detect that the ecu has been tampered with (for possible warranty work b/c i bought that fat extended warranty.. till almost 100k mi or so)

i figured i could simply swap it if i had 2!

Not trying to be an *** or anything like that but why do people buy extended warranties for a car in which they know they are going to modify? Seems like a waste of money and worries.....

back to subject at hand, more then likely with a revup ecu, your car will fail to even start.

If your worried about warrenty work, get an 03 or 04 ECU and reflash that. That way you have a stocker and a tuner. Since your willing to deal out the extra cash for a total new ECU. This is realy the route your looking at going. Yeah your gonna say its expensive, but you have to pay to play.

yeah if i decide i need to raise the rev limit, i'll just go utec.. the original plan. just trying to see if i could save 4-500 somehow.. ordered 3.9 gears so i figure the high rev limit should be a nice complement
