Would a cop get mad if you had a remote bottle opener but at the time he pulls you over, it is closed?

you cannot drive with a NOS bottle in the car, hooked up or not

vchoward2 - if you do a quick search you'll find tons of info regarding the gains

Yes there are definitely dyno gains with technosquare. I haven't seen anyone on the west coast with AAM reflash though.

I ended up sending the ecu in since I know I won't be in Torrance on a weekday anytime soon. ECU is being sent back tomorrow, just curious though - should I expect to feel a significant difference?

I felt a much better response down low for sure. Top end screams a bit more as well, but the improvement I felt with the butt dyno for me anyways was down low

Okay cool. I just hope its not one of those mods I can barely feel (ex. UR pulley for me). I hope its like when I got my MREV2+5/16 spacer.

technosquare is in the process of building a 'stage 2' ECU reflash program and hardware kit for forced induction cars... we have successfully remaped the ECU to deal with large amounts of air so that the MAF sensor will no long be Maxxed out.. i.e. no use of a voltage clamp!!

woot. car is extremely stable at idle, mid to high throttle positions and WOT...

this means you can have boost with 14+ psi and pretty much up to 1000cc injectors... all without the use of a piggy back..

Also looking for some numbers here, albeit it rough. Looking to tune my Z as well (headers/exhaust), but not by technosquare -- I am East Coast.

if you need a flash and are east coast the only other option is Altered Atmosphere

Otherwise, the UTEC is a very wise investment as it will serve as the platform for any and all future mods, even FI

there's a company that's releasing ECU tuning software soon that does exactly that....

Problem is, AA is in Maryland, 6-8 hours from here. There is a place locally, that tuned my buddies GTO, and has tuned Zs in the past.

but do they do flashes or do they tune using some other means? The only 2 places in the US I am aware that actually can flash the stock Z ecu are Technoaquare in California and AAM in MD. Beyond that you've got other options that other tuners can work with - Unichip, or UTEC, which there are alot more tuners for

Dynocomp here in AZ is getting some new ECU software that they can tune on the dyno thru the OBDII port that will raise the limit of what the stock MAF can take. It does something about modifying the CAN bus system or something like that - a little more sophisticated than a normal flash from what I understand

I don't remember the name of the company that's doing the software. They had a booth at SEMA and are currently putting some last minute final touches/fixing bugs before releasing it in first quarter of 07 (AKA - march)

I think it could be worthwhile for low-medium boost setups

Cipher maker, UpRev in Austin, TX is also reflashing our ECU.
