Default probably a stupid question...

On top of my current exhaust, I plan on installing a pop charger and plenum spacer. From what I have read, it is safe to run this without a tune, but is a good idea to take it to a dyno just to make sure. My question is, is there a way to get tuned with just the stock ECU, or is some kind of piggyback or reflash required to do any amount of tuning?

You can flash the ECU, but honestly...with those mods...I'd wait to do any kind of tuning, b/c if you add another bolt on...you'll need to retune. Not fun when you pay roughly $600 for a tune. If you plan on adding more bolt ons, invest in a UTEC and throw it in when you're done adding parts.

Ok sounds good. What if I want to add a small wet shot in afterwards? I'm thinking no more than a 75 shot. Will this be safe without a tune, considering I get the correct nitrous and fuel jets?

If you buy the NX kits, their 75 shot jets are right on the money. When you go beyond that, you have to start playing with the fuel jets to get the correct A/F ratio without a tune. But yea, 75 shot with no tune is just fine.

Without entereing the nitrous debate (something I know jack **** about)

I'd say go for a reflash or piggyback tune after you get the plenum spacer, 100%, definitely, yes.

Tuning was the only mod I could really "feel" the power... especially down low
