Default Engine wobbling at idle! Help.

I installed my Motordyne 5/16 spacer and changed my spark plugs a couple of weeks ago. When I turned it on you could feel the engine kind of wobbling. Only way I can think of describing it. I only feel it while in nuetral. It idles fine but while I'm holding the clutch in or in nuetral I can feel it and hear it. I was hoping that when I got it tuned afterwards it would take it away but it didnt. He told me I had some knock at my top end he took it out. Anyone have any idea whats up with my junk.

Possibly an air leak on the spacer or vacuum hose. Sure all the hoses are hooked back up?

Did you gap the plugs?

I read somewhere not to gap them. That they were good to go from the box. I'm going to go back and check all of the hoses.

I would say if it is wobling and running rough you have a vacuum hose that did not get connected or is pinched. MAF sensor hooked back up correctly?

It runs fine. I only feel it when I'm not giving it gas.

that's when it's at vacuum - check for leaks around the entire perimeter - make sure the oil inlet rubber surround is not caught in between etc.

Really sounds to me like you left off a vac hose somewhere. Check the one that connects to the underside of the air intake tube, the one that goes from the airbox into the throttle body, and report back

All VQ35DE's seem to have a pretty rough idle, increasing the idle really helps.

Of course the OP should check for possible installation problems, but I doubt that's the problem IMHO.

To the OP: It you're currious about a plenum leak, take it to a shop that has a smoke machine. They'll hook it up to the plenum vacuum line, and fill it with compressed uv reactive smoke. If you have a leak, you'll be able to see it... Peace of mind = priceless.

Thanks. I'll look into that. I drove it today and tried to get a better feel for what it is actually doing. It's kind of like a vibration that I feel at idle or when I let off the gas. I just feel it thruthe floor board. Kind of weird.
