Default VDC off / SLIP / Check Engine Light with UTEC

this is a strange problem I found..

when I first installed the UTEC, it did not give me any check engine light at all, so I thought everything was normal.

next day morning when starting the car, it gave me check engline light, VDC OFF light and SLIP light all lit. The car seemed to drive fine, so I did the ECU reset by following the technosquare guide.

The lights were all gone when I started the car after doing the reset, so I thought it was just one time thing. Just to test again, I restarted the car to see if the light would come back on, and they didn't.

Now I came back from lunch and I got all the lights lit again! I did the reset method again to clear them out but I think there must be something going wrong with it.

Any suggestions?

help anyone? people from TurboXS ?

software updated to 2.8 already.. with throttle control too.

I found that if I leave the car turned off for more than a minute, the error will come back on at the next start..

Have you done the typical 'VDC lights' checks? It could just be a coincidence that it started after you installed the UTEC.

Check your brake fluid level, pad thickness, etc.

thats not it.. the light goes away if i remove utec

the car is driving fine though, a/f is correct, timing isnt pulled back.

when i enter the error code mode.. it gives me 10 long flashes, 3 short flashes, 5 short flashes, 10 short flashes. and it repeats it self.

does it mean error code 0350? i couldnt find the code from service manual..

Alright.. did some research and found that the code 0350 means Ignition Signal failure.

does that mean I have a faulty UTEC ?

its been a while since I sent emails to info@turboxs.com and Jermaine@turboxs.com but havent heard a thing back from them yet. quite dissapointed really, maybe they don't have enough online support (email questions) and only deals with phone calls or maybe they just cbf'd cuz its not a good new to them.

I am going to try my UTEC in my friends 350z and see if I get the same error. if it does, its more likey that this unit is faulty and has to go back to TurboXS for replacement. I wonder if they are going to pay for the shipping.
