We resolve the codes instead of deleting them. For downstream O2 sensors you need simulators, or non-foulers and possibly some steel wool in them, or cats. In my case I got a set of 3" HFC with almost zero power loss and no more codes (or stink).

oh wow, i thought that was one of the advantages of osiris. I thought osiris deleted the code and on inspection time it would pass no problem, i never read on their website it wont pass if a code is deleted.

Is their a list of codes that inspection searches for?? There will be some codes that i will have to delete like a few NATS codes. (im doing a ecu swap btw) Inspection should only look for Emission codes? the 400's? maybe misfires 300"s?

You will fail.

The inspection procedure looks for codes and readyness monitors. When you turn off codes like P0420(Cat innefficiency) The computer monitor will never ready. Its basically as if you keep disconnecting your battery right before inspection.

Thanks for the info. Kinda weird how that's not mentioned on their site. I guess i ASSUMED disable dtc meant passing inspection no problem. Gahhh i hate obd2 cars.

Pretty sure they only look for emission codes. It varies with every state though... trial and error is your friend.

No.

If that was the case you could just disconnect the battery right before you go in and you'd pass.

You're not making any sense.

Even if they only scanned for codes related to the emissions and safety systems (which is typically the case), you would still fail if you disconnect the battery because none of the codes would be ready. Still have to drive 30-50 miles before they are ready, and deleting them means they never become ready.

In NJ they make you come back if your CPU shows less than 200 miles of recording on it. Plenty of time for your codes to come back.

Being able to pass emissions with the cad codes disabled depends on the state.
When you disable the cat codes the monitor switches from "not ready/ready" to "not available". If you're in Texas you will still pass emissions... the computers here only care if the monitor says "not ready", when it says "not available", the emissions machine just ignores it.
In CA however you will fail. The emissions machines in CA know what makes and models are supposed to have what monitors set an it will fail if the cat monitor says not ready or if it says not available.

Thats exactly what I said...

Ecu's are either in ready mode, pending mode, or fail mode( if a CEL is on)

It doesnt matter what code it is. If the CEL is on or all but ONE monitor isn't ready it wont pass.

Not exactly right on the ready/not ready/fail being the only possible states. First the computer has to ask the ECU what it supports (there is a lot of emissions related equipment beside the cats). If you disable the efficacy codes with Osiris the ECU will tell the emissions computer that it does not support that test. I've seen the print outs that say ready, not ready, and not supported all listed. It's a totally different state from ready/not ready/or fail, but whether or not you'll pass emissions will depend on the what state you're in. So far the only place I know that you will fail for sure is CA.

so how does it utilize the stock widebands? if you are reflashing and it supports stock widebands, dont see why that couldnt be utilized in the non-revups.

If it has stock WB, then you really don't need to log an external after market WB, but the early cars (up to middle of 2004) did not have WB sensors from the factory.

I got lucky, my '04 has dual widebands. Bought it in August '04 it rolled off the barge only a week before that.

Interesting enough the stock widebands have proven more accurate than my UEGO.

SC Vortech G35 owner with a UTEC. I make 330whp 9psi auto. run 12.7's at the track. Ive been wondering if Osiris reflash is a better way to go now. I only have the sc and a few other mods. will it make the same power or more and be easier to daily drive? Which Osiris should i go for?

Thanks.

I read the entire 78 pages, and to be honest, it took me a few days... I thought I should make a summary of everything that was important in there.

JB__ in the begining fried his ecm, uprev sent him a new one and updated their software to prevent it happening again.

Months pass with nothing but is it done yet and then osiris Tuner comes out. HR is finally supported, but not fully.

03-04 350z/g35's (non revup) do not have built in widebands and if you want them you need to get a wideband sensor set up capable of data logging. (pref innovate LC-1)

370z/G37's are supported now, and they are tinkering with a GTR.

Yes they do Turbo and supercharger set ups, They did a TT G35 and pushed 550hp and the owner was way happier than I think the Fcon he had before, and uprev complained about the way too big 1000cc injectors.

They have done many SC 350z/g35's and they recommend that you get a tuner kit and get a 255 walbro 550cc injectors and a tune from osiris.

Uprev does do nitrous set ups and has even done some really nice 2 stage set ups that have really turned out some great horsepower

Uprev has great customer service and really try hard to push a good product and if you actually want to contact them, call, they are usually pretty backed up with emails.

I am in no means a spokesman for uprev, and if I missed stuff, I am sorry, but I figured I would save the normal guy from asking a dumb question that is buried in this huge thread and give some insight.
