Hey buddy,

I have to agree that the UTEC may not be needed but with the injector upsize you will need some way to compensate for the idle issue. Either way the UTEC should give you more control and possibly a little more power.

Mounting it in the G is a major PITA. UMS did Mark’s (twinsnails 600+whp coupe) UTEC install so they can do another but it won’t be cheap. I put my own in and just had Tony tune it.

If you do go with a UTEC, I can send you my base map which should help your car idle fine and be ok as long as you stay out of boost on the way down to UMS. Or you can get their TT w/750cc map off the turboxs site. Also, just as an FYI. UMS is moving next month so make sure and call Jeremy to set up an appointment as soon as you know when. 480-446-8863.

Depending on when you go down there you might see my car on the lift. I will be there as soon as the move is complete.

Yeah, I already bought the Utec and 660's, just waiting on them to arrive. I will do the install on the Utec as it can't be that difficult once you step back and look before dremeling... I have found some threads on here and driver that have given me some ideas on it.

Sam at GTM is giving me a limp map as well to help get me to UMS... I might have to wait then to install and tune her until they do their move.

The one thing that is a PITA on the SS box is that it is not a live tune and you have to wait for the cells to load each time.... Also I had a afr that looked like a mountain peak, I am hoping the Utec will help smooth that out...

I got a pretty good deal so I think it will be worth it.

I think the UTEC is big step up for you. The system is not hard to self-tune once you get a good baseline done so you will have a lot more control.
