Default Tach output on Dynojet?

Where can do fit the tach output to read rpm for a dyno pull.I went to a non import tuning shop and they couldn't find a way to fit tach output wire to show an rpm reference. All they could give me was a max horsepower reading with no rpm reference.

I have an HR but I think the VQ has it too. Pull the plastic engine cover off and on the left side (passenger side) near the top front of the motor at #1 cylinder, look for the wiring harness. Once located, you should see a small loop of wire with black insulation on in (about the length of a coffee mug handle or little less. This is the tach signal. Just put the pick up around this wire as if it were a spark plug wire, you do not need to tap into it. Good luck.

Maybe you do not have to pull the cover, but we did not see it until we did, just look first to save yourself a step.
