Finally got around to picking up the TurboXS UTEC and got it installed and tuned by Corr Performance near Baton Rouge.
The Dyno is the heartbreaker Dyno Dynamics
2003 Silverstone 350z 65,000 miles
engine mods:
The dyno didn't get an accurate reading on the pre-tune dyno, and we didn't realize it until after tuning had begun. So, I don't have a good pre-tune chart.
the chart:

when trying to lean out the AFR, the rate would spike up near 6000 rpms.
after playing with the AFR a good bit, decided that it wouldn't be going away. I'm pretty sure this problem was caused by the AT.
Let me know what you guys think.
PS the whp vs wtq will be up soon

what did they do to your AFR? thats absolutely terrible. the majority of that afr curve belongs on a turbo car at 35psi, your afr should be closer to 13-13.5:1. the "lean spike" is the best spot on that fuel curve. no joke, i would be taking that thing back for them to do right

ps: z's and g's could do 35 psi, just nobody has built that design of motor for one. and there are z's running 29 psi, the intense car comes to mind...
so youre hating on my car cause i have the same engine and were in the engine discussion forum? makes sense

I was there when they tuned it... we are not sure why the spike happened but it seemed like it was something else and not the tune, I've never seen that before.
Any thoughts?

where was the afr taken from? that curve kinda makes me think that it was reading incorrectly, cause if you look at the graph, the curve does seem to change at all when the afr curve changes, which it should. the shape of the curve ought to change when the shape of the afr curve changes, which only happens a little bit where the spike is. he doesnt have a WBO2 i take it?

It was taken from the wideband in the exhaust. Its seemed to work for me when I got my AFR checked with it

I was getting a tune but I think I was curious to how crap my AFR was. I wish I had the other graph which was probably a better indicator of how it should level off. I don't have it on me unfortunately.
I doubt it's the wideband though, it did it for every run. Is it an auto thing
nah its not related to the auto, unless it slipped a little bit right there, which i highly doubt. being in the tailpipe though, makes that afr REALLY bad, since a tailpipe reading is usually 1-1.5 pts leaner than actual. i would tend to think that it was an exhaust related problem if the power hadnt dipped a little there too. possibly an MAF or injector related issue. kinda hard to say

I'm not too familiar with the tuning process, but I'd love to hear more opinions from people.
I figured I would make more power. Hopefully the TQ curve will tell us something else.
edit: free picture with with bump

I was super disapointed with my numbers even though I didn't have a baseline. I figured I would just order some 4.083 gears and call it a day.

Yea the plugs are a few months old.
Probably could have used some fresh oil.
And I might have an exhaust leak somewhere.
Gonna jack it up and look around this weekend.
Any tips for finding exhaust leaks? bring it to an exhaust shop?

You won't know anything until you take it to the track regardless.

blasian: if i was him id expect more too. sure its an auto but his mods should be good for an easy 255. that tuner really likes the mixture rich and its killing the power
Nothix, get that other stuff sorted out like u told me on AIM and bring it back.
As I mentioned to you after we finished that day, if you are unsatisfied or think we can improve on the tune, then by all means set up an appointment and we will tweak it free of charge.
