So.. UTEC software ever going to be updated?
Just curious if anyone has heard anything about if Turboxs is ever going to update the UTEC software? Probably not.. its been 3 years
Just seems odd that the UTEC still is being sold but not updated. Dont get me wrong, the hyperterminal is functional.. just so old school lol.

Haltech has some great features, some that we're interested in getting added to our own software once we have some time to dedicate to advancing those technologies. There is the issue of price though and not everyone needs all of the over top features of the Haltech. So we don't see them as a competitor. The customers that need those features, and are willing to spend the money will use the Haltech.
Same with the Fcon, great unit, does exactly what some people need, and it's a reputable brand with a great support network. Many of our Pro Tuner sell either the Haltech or the Fcon or both. Often times Osiris is complimentary to those systems as the stock ECU remains in the car and in certain cases needs some minor adjustments. If they need to use Osiris to curtail those issues they can use it and the customer benefits from it.

Our product is more than capable of supporting 700whp. Uprev, along with our Pro Tuners have a number of customers in the 550-700whp area running Osiris as their management. But neither Haltech nor Uprev make the power. The physical parts of the motor are what make the power. All our products do is make sure things play nice and stay inside the motor where they belong.

ok so if it comes for timing and fuel tuning, the Osiris will do the job better the any.
i got it, ading a haltech with Osiris will be a great super setu up for high HP cars.
Osiris has plenty enough control for most setups, and the adjustment/scalability is usually more than most people use. There will be certain cars that just need the more control that Haltech and Fcon can offer. Thats a judgement call between you and your builder really. Far too many variables for there to be an exact line. What it comes down to is it's your money and the more you know, the better choices you can make. We're all competing products, but in these three brands you know that you're getting the best of the best.
And there is no telling how much fine tuning will need to be done on your car. So it may only take 4 hours to get it done. Remember we generally work on fixing other peoples screw ups here, so in those instances it takes way longer. Also some of the other well known tuning shops in Texas charge as much as $1200 for an NA tune on a Honda. Just depends on what market they are in, how much their name is worth, and how big their ego is.
We charge what we charge because we have our own level of overhead and we've tuned 300+ NA VQ/VK vehicles here and well over 40 FI VQ's with all sorts of different FI systems. So we have a bit more experience than most shops in central TX. Time vs. Quality vs. Knowledge is the better rating, not dollars per hour.
Osiris sounds like a great tune from what I have read from your posts. But I have tried it and it locked up my ECU, twice now and Japtrix has sent it back to you twice so it is taking 2 weeks to get my Z done. What do you suggest now seeing as it doesnt work on my car for some reason?
