Getting Tuned :hehehe:

The physical size of the MAF is more than enough to flow more air than what is required. The electronics of the MAF limit to what it can see over 400hp. It hits the threshold limit. Upgrading those pieces will expand that threshold and allow it to see higher air readings. But you obviously aren't smart enough to see that.

We can update the base tune that we send out that is already fairly close to the exact mods that the customer has, so that it's even more accurate of a tune.
Thats what you said. So do you think its safe for him to tune a nitrous car VIA mail in flash?

You left out a important part of his sentence.
" On top of that using our eTune service, we can get data logs from the customer and adjust his tune for nitrous."
The logs is all they need to see to make the adjustments correct for his car, his mods, his NOS.

For the record, our base tunes go out with the Osiris Standard, which is mailed to a customer when they order it. They do not ever need to touch their ECU or mail anything back to us.

Personally, I have not seen anyone do it, but I would have to say since it is garbage on NA it is likely to even higher levels of garbage on FI. Just my .02.

The UpRev product is far superior to the Cobb product for this platform. There is no question about it. It would be nice if they were at the same level because they would push each other to improve. That's always good for the consumer.
That said, UpRev has done a great job in many respects in continuing to improve their product. As an example, real time tuning is one great feature not available on the Cobb (reflash only). I also remember when a reflash used to take several minutes and now it takes place in about 15 or 20 seconds.
Nothing is perfect though. No product yet addresses the TCM for 5AT models and that would be a boon to those of us with slushboxes. There are also some things that my generic OBD II scanner can do that Osiris/Ciper cannot though and that irks me a bit (such as capture freeze frame data related to a CEL and warn me of pending CELs). Always room for improvement but there is no comparison - UpRev's Osiris and Cipher products stand far above any other product for working with the stock ECU. Cobb AccessPort and even the UTEC are inferior in many ways (boost control aside). Whether you want to be a forum fanboy or do the research and compare the two, you will come to the same conclusion and purchase from UpRev.

It's the same on manual and auto cars. We tune the motor, not the transmission.
On a side note, theres a G35 Sedan here with a vortech and a brand new motor thanks to Cobb Tuning in Dallas.
