Default Engine timing

i just recently installes a Cobb Tuning access port and seem to be having issues with my timing. i thing I'm getting a little bit of detonation and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on where my timing should be. I started out with level 1 tune. any suggestions would be great, and if anyone could tell me the stock timing as well that would be great. Any recomendations? To shed a little more light on the situation, you can slightly hear the "couple BBs in a coke can" noise. Thanks

did you reset the ecu? (to relearn the fuel trim)

what mods do you have because air mods affect the MAF sensor alot which the cobb AP relies on [so i've read - my AP is enroute out of memphis with UPS at moment]

Good Luck!

also - swap it back to the base map - does the noise go away??

pm travis@cobb - he seems knowledgeable

thanks guys. Think I'll start with the Ecu then work my way down the list. shouldn't be a problem, just that I'm new to all the technical stuff.
