Default Osiris Map Questions - What Have You Done?

Hi Everyone !! I just added some Berk HFC's and a MotorDyne XYZ...and will soon add the Shockwave V2 becasue it sounds so freakin good.

And now I'm about ready to order the Osiris Standard but i have a few questions about - How are your maps configured?

1. Power
2. Launch - what RPM are you limiting
3. ???
4. Valet - what RPM and what speed are you limiting
5. Stock

Also - any experience (good or bad) for raising the 6500 rpm rev-limiter on my V35DE? I sometimes bang into it and wish I had just a bit more.

And last, is there any benefit for me to raise the stock 650 rpm idle speed?

Thanks

i got my ECU flashed with Osiris with a local shop. They gave me 5 maps
1- power
2- fuel economy
3- stock
4- valet (car won't rev above 3k rpm, cant go doing donuts with my car or burnout)
5- theft (car won't reve above 2k rpm, render it useless to drive if car was stolen)

Thanks - is economy a tune for 89 octane? I've always used 93...

Anyone else? How about the rev-limiter or idle speed?

everything is tuned to 93. I also have my rev-limiter removed, i can rev up to 8k or 9k but dont do that usually. Idle speed stay the same.

All Maps for min 91 octane:
06 RevUp w/ HKS Gt Supercharger (GTM Stage 4)
Osiris Tuner Version

1. Full Tune. (6900 RPM so as not to over spin the supercharger)
2. Valet. (32mph - 3200 RPM)
3. Economy. (4200 RPM, optimized 13.2 AFR)
4. No Belt on Supercharger. (Basically a N/a Tune with larger injectors (600cc.)
5. Not sure yet. Currently doing a whole re-tune.

Idle speeds. See attached

Thanks for the replies.

I found a post about the rev-limiter - some claim it can be set as high as 7500 on the DE and others say to keep it stock as there's no power that high. I know that the current 6500 comes up real fast and a few hundred more would give me a better 3-4 shift point. Sure seems to have power in this range to me and so I think I'm gonna go with 6900.

Honest officer, I don't often drive like that but my rev-limiter made me do it...

I thought there would be some more opinion to help me minimize updates.

I'm going to map with UPREV my 305z 2008 HR
I think to made this:
- Tuned map for 95 octanes
- Trak day map for 98 octanes (more aggressive tune)
- Fuel optimized for long highways runs
- Stock map

About rev limiter HR is stock about 7500rpm, so may be raised to 8000 but no more!

I'm in Italy, son fuel is normal 95 octanes (about 93 ron i suppose) and sometimes 98-100 (96 ron)

Also for me is useless valet map (no one in Italy give car to valet or similar)

And about theft map...we prefer other ways for that...

^ i agree

So my Osiris is on its way..

Rev limiter for my non-revup will be set to 6900 rpm. I've set up 93 octane (ron) and a 750 idle rpm for all the tuned maps

1. tuned - performance; optimized AFR, fuel, timing and throttle. no speed limiter.
2. tuned - launch; 3200 rpm
3. stock
4. tuned - economy; 4400 rpm, target AFR 13.25
5. tuned - valet; 3200 rpm, 30 mph

Has anyone logged runs with Cipher before and after updating the ROM? Can you do this to compare before and after results? I'll then send the updated ROM runlogs to UpRev for further tweaking.

Any suggestions about install or logging? I read the note about clearing the learned fuel settiongs. Does it make any differnce to reset the ECU before updating?

Looking forward to next weekend

how many of you guys went with the osiris standard instead of an actual dyno tune?

In Italy is quite difficult to have an ACTUAL dyno tune with OSIRIS

But IMHO with all log datas used to make them also e-tunes aren't so bad, may be better than some "bad" real tuners...

In my case reputable Osiris tuners are a distance away. Not out of the question but I'll first see how much difference or not I can get with an email tune. You send in a few log files containing 0-60 and cruising runs so that they can update the base tune with those findings, and then send a new tune back. UpRev includes three post purchase tunes with Osiris standard. There are a number of posts reporting good results with this method as well.

Only issue is I'm still waiting on the original tuned map, so I've just been logging data with Cipher which is very useful in and of itself and I now have an untuned baseline to compare with the tuned map when it arrives...

In respect to my signature, I've added the Berk HFC's and a Motordyne V2 exhaust. Cipher is telling me that I'm running a pretty lean AFR of between 14-15+ (uncalibrated of course - another benefit of a real dyno tuner), so I'm hoping that UpRev comes through with my tuned maps real soon!
