Default Z tuned at Forged Performance

I had my 03 350z tuned at Forged Performance. Overall, I'm happy with the tune. I baselined at 246 and after the tune finished with 267.

Mods:
JWT Popcharger
Nismo Exhaust
Motordyne 5/16th spacer
Motordyne ART pipes

Good stuff. I had my tuned by Sharif not long ago in April. I put down 260whp on the heartbreaker with similar mods. I think the big difference may be the ART pipes vs me having hfc's. How do you like the bump in power?

Jeff Garcia? Ex-QB for the Browns and 49ers?

Wow 267whp249wtq for those mods on a 03 is really good. I always had the thought that Forged Performance dyno was suppose to read low, but that doesn't seem the case. Do you know what a stock Z does on there?

That's right, all the mods and no tune. I never baselined the car stock, so I have no clue what the Z does, but I'm assuming somewhere in the 220's or so.

I wish! Maybe then I could afford FI!

I didn't actually notice the bump in power, until I took the car out on some back roads and compared how much quicker I was able to drive through them. After the tune the car also runs remarkably smoother. Maybe that's the reason, I can't really tell a difference.

By the way those are stellar gains from the tune, congrats! Sharif did a great job. Did he tune it? Also forgot to ask, is this with osiris?

Thanks, I was kind of worried that my numbers wouldn't be that good, Sharif did tune the car and they did use osiris. Now I'm wondering how I can get some more power out of my car.

Wow. Pretty good numbers indeed for a DE. I wonder if it's the tune or the ART pipes?

I'd like to see what similar modded De's produce on this dyno with either hfc/test pipe.

^ I know what you mean. I didn't start to notice the bump in power till a few days later when I got back to the roads I know. Its hard to tell a huge difference because its not like you added 200 more horsepower but it just feels a bit quicker and smoother. You could add headers and cams for some extra power. But that's money that can go towards FI.. however if you were to supercharge it would be worth it.

I stated earlier that I made 260whp back in April with similar mods. Sharif tuned it with Osiris. I've been debating on throwing some headers and test pipes on but currently I have:

Injen cai
Intense Power plenum spacer
Berk hfc
Megan Racing Y-pipe
Exotic Speed R1-T 3" single

My power band looks similar to his as well. I need to scan my sheets so I can put them up to share.

For reference a stock DE will put around 215-220 on our dyno. It is in fact a very low reading dyno.

Nice gains Jeff, enjoy the new power!

Thanks Ryan, I will, as soon as this crappy Georgia weather drys up a bit.

Nice gains OP

I'm thinking about going to the ART/TDX combo...

2006 Rev-up
K&N Drop In
5/16 Copper Iso Thermal Spacer
MREV2
Berk HFC
XYZ Pipe
Motordyne Duel Gamma Exhaust (now V2)
Forged Reflash

Hey abarclay, How do you like the motordyne exhaust? I'm thinking about switching y-pipes to the xyz pipe, because I don't think the nismo pipe is a very good pipe. Is your xyz a straight or resonated?

I really like it, and definitely recommend the V2. I've got the resonator with the XYZ pipe and have never experienced an rasp with my HFC's. Contact Hydrazine (Tony) and he'll hook ya up

I'm considering changing the exhaust, I talked to Tony about the ART pipes and his exhaust systems, just need to convince the wife.
