Tuning for 3" intake?
i see this option is available with UPREV but im not sure what is meant by this. Can anyone give a quick explanation? Some of the Dual CAI kits have 3" diameter tubing, is this what requires something extra when tuning with UPREV?
Give us some background on your car...
what are your goals for the car (power / torque)?
what do you want to do with the car after the modifications / tune?
how much money do you have to spend on this?
do you already have an Uprev license?
what year is your car?
what transmission?
what modifications do you have on the car?
what modifications do you intend to do in the future?

I have a 08 350z enthusiast, 6mt, 13,000 mi that is all stock. I would like to do a cat back, cai, and tune. My goals are to please my ears as well as my butt dyno. I am not concerned with dyno numbers. I do want to keep the car's drivability and reliability. I would love to put a SC on the car but the wife won't have it.

Uprev would be a good solution for you and your goals. Don't worry too much about dyno numbers but go and dyno tune (as opposed to road tuning or E-Tuning). This will ensure a safe AFR, safe ignition, and a drivable car.
I would do all your modification first and then go tune.

Its your car and your decision and your situation. A e-tune may be your only solution. It wont fully optimize your setup and you may not recognize 100% of the potential gains - but that's the downside of not living near a tuner/dyno shop I guess?

not when, for $2500 to $3500, you can go FI and gain 100hp to 150hp

Exhaust? Stillen, Nismo R-tune or HKS, have you heard either of these in person? I do not want anything annoyingly loud. Also don't want to get a headache driving on the freeway in 6th gear.
Forced Induction for $2500 to $3000? Please tell me how!!!

I'll echo what JHC said with regards to the OEM intake. The reason we know this is true is that no one, after 15years, has made a better intake. And furthermore you need a tune to recognize those gains. I wish some would re-tune a completely OEM car to see if there are power gains just from a tune?
Havent heard a nismo nor a HKS but I ran a stillen for a few years. Best thing about the stillen is that it has a quiet rumble (ie neighbor friendly) for lower RPMs but will open-up and give a pretty nice 'broughpy-bubbly' exhaust note on high RPMs ... one downside, it's heavy ... when I went weight-savings single aluminum I dropped 40 or 50lbs compared to the stillen.
Yea, I fabricate rear-mount turbo systems with a buddy - if you're interested feel free to PM me.

What makes them expensive? It's HKS, basically Gucci lol. Their quality is impeccable but it is overpriced IMO.
Oh no wait, apparently I have the top dog, you can have the Gemini which is similar for a fraction of the cost. I got mine because of quality, looks and sound. That and nobody has it, I have this "rare" factor going on lol.

Mase/Stage6 is like, 10 miles away. IF it is, I'll take one for the team.
