RX-8's absolutely disappoint me. I have TWO friends with them, and I swear by running them you'd think they finish the quarter in 17+ seconds.

 

Meh, i still think it's a great car. Occasionally i wish i had bought one instead of the Z (usually when i want to fit more people in my car) but their fuel economy and reliability is just way too poor ESPECIALLY since it wont wow anyone with it's striaght line performance. Dont get me wrong 90% of the time i'm happy i have my Z instead but i still think the mazda is very appealing.

 

1/4 mile isnt even that close. The vid makes it seem closer than it actually is.

 

I actually owned a RX-8 then switched to a Z not long ago. Both cars are awesome in their own way.

 

I love those suicide doors on them.

 

Read June 07 60th Anniversity Magazine// the RX7 is returning. Now that's sweet car. I had a 260Z in Okinawa and a 280Z in here, but I still remember the RX7's when I was in Okinawa and Hawaii. Still prefer my 350Z though.

I believe you mean the Saturn "baby door" as it's commonly reffered to. It's great for the ease of putting your groceries back there.

 

the wrx was tuned. If the z had at least a cai and exhaust then it would be a good race

Wow. We are always saying "yea they may be faster, but we would kill them in the twisties". I suggest that if you are not aware of the SpeedSource Mazda team that runs in the Rolex GT series, you should check them out. Pretty fricking awesome cars. So in this case we may take them in a straight line, but.......

 

the mazda is a chics car. and besides that it only has a few good visual angle and they are everywhere! i saw a bunch up here in canada and if you can drive yer car in the snow then its way to slow, no torque and rather silly to even have considered buying such a car fer that price....all the cost and none of the looks/performance...ive seen better looking bycicles!

 

I rather have my old RX-8 than the Z. The has more power but the RX-8 interior is more stylish than the Z. Never had any mechanical issues with my RX-8.

BTW and intake and Exhaust doesn't do crap on a RX-8. in some case has been reported that the loose power with those mods. Reflash and test pipe is about the only mods worth doing for n/a oh and a 3.9 FD. Other than that a turbo kit with the proper ECU is a blast. But then you are faced with traction issues.

 

RX8 bottom end is really disappointing but i wouldnt mind taking one into the mountains
