From my experience with datalogging the ECU in my previous car, heat soak is not really an issue. I got curious and spent a couple days doing various driving/stopping/going/etc with my previous car and datalogged the intake air temperature.

While cruising the IAT would be whatever the ambient temperature is outside. If you sat the car idling for a few minutes temperatures would shoot up to the 100+ degree area (even on say... a 60*F day). As soon as the you started moving and getting airflow around the engine bay temperatures would plummet and took less than a minute to get back to the ambient temperature.

If I did a WOT pull right after idling for a while IAT temps would shoot down real fast due to the sheer amount of air being funneled through the intake. This was done with a short ram intake btw. Due to the aluminum used on my intake it shed heat very rapidly. If anything the high IAT temps after idling were due to the stagnant air in the engine bay, and as soon as I got moving the new circulation brought temps down.

Just my exprience... take it however you like.

What ViTViper said makes lots of sense! Lets see what an independent dyno would show.

This website is a fake. I just got an email from them and they are saying its TBA and the prices is around $400. But for about a week now they had it listed for $306 and free shipping shipped from the mnftr..

I say they are not really proffessional....

The website is not a fake, I ordered from them before for my Tiburon. I'm betting what happened was they confused the new '07s hp rating (306) for the price and put it on the website. If you look there now, they changed the price and availability to TBA. Kinda sucks that the price isn't as low as we had hoped.

I called them yesterday and spoke to some idiot that didn't even know they had it listed on the website. They wanted me to order it even after they couldn't give me a date when I would get it? He said you might get it in five days or maybe more? WTF lol That place needs to get their info right.

Wow.

Even if it took 12 pulls for that whp, its still significant gains for an intake even if that is high. Drop it 5-10 whp if you want, its still great gains.

The baseline #s are lower but I'd trust them, since they aren't much lower than what others get. I've noticed a lot of people with stock VQ35DEs posting up baseline #s that slaughter my modded #s. Their dyno probably has a high number beside "smoothing."
