Default Just popped in my k&n's

Took out my AEM intakes few weeks ago and purchased these new k&n drop in filters. Honestly I cannot say they made power or not but well see this saturday. I will have my car dynoed on a dynojet again. I know temps and other variables may be different but there will be a lotof other Z's on saturday to dyno with me so we can compare some numbers. So far with aem intake and fast intentions exhaust I have yield 279rwhp/241tq ??
The newest dyno this saturday will be with my Fast Intentions, K&N filters, and the 4.083 gears (if that even matters.)

Dyno charts will be up saturday evening!!

Cool interested to see if the K&N filters will actually yield more power than more expensive intakes. Keep us informed.

There will be about 8-10 other Z's there though, including another 07 with test pipes, exhaust, fujita intakes, to compare with.
I know each dyno machine will put out different numbers but even the same dyno machines will put out different numbers if you go on a different day. Theres really not much we can do about that.
There will be other Z's there to compare it to so I think itll be worthwhile for the dynosheets.

I dont see how its a dissappointment? Its a n/a Z with just a drop in difference. Trust me even if I goto the original dyno the numbers will differ. Besides youre not lookin at much gain over the stock intakes.

waitin on my runfiles from shop...

Heres a summary:

First our first dynos at SRT. Rkemp1 and I have both dynoed at SRT previously with the following mods:
Me: Fast Intentions catback + Test pipes, AEM intake
Rkemp1: Fujita Intakes, AAM Test pipes and true dual catback

If I remember correctly dyno results from SRT:

Me:

Rkemp1:

Today Rkemp1 has the same mods.
Me: Same exhaust but Stock airbox with K&N drop ins plus 4.083 gears if that matters on the power

Sorry no graphs or runfiles yet. I have to get them from the shop.

Results: Rkemp1 can reply with his exact numbers as I do not remember it. Maybe hell know mynumbers too

My results: 290rwhp 254tq??? not sure about torque numbers as I only took a quick glance at the screen. These numbers are uncorrected.

that should be a good comparison... if he did 294whp or something, then you know it made no difference. If he did 283whp again... then wow... going back to stock intakes made a big difference.

Can't wait to see both of your dyno sheets

Uncorrected Im pretty sure I had about 292hp and 24Xtq, I know it was at least 10 ft lbs less than you Jon.I dont remember exact numbers either. Im thinkin about takin a trip back out there to talk to Ray to have him overlay our graphs to see the curve differences. I am switchin back to stock airboxes with K+Ns. Just because of the tq numbers.
