Default My experience at the dealer with the Slave cylinder issue

Well before I took the car in I called NNA. They were pretty clueless and I had to get a supervisor to call me back to get any type of results. The supervisor called me back within a few hours and I gave her the information and made sure she was aware of all the complaints with NHTSA as well as the Accident previously mentioned by The Gest which could have been caused by a defective slave cylinder. She asked me which dealer I was taking it to and the name of the service writer and told me to contact her if I had any problems. I got to the dealer on Monday at 8am. Showed the tech the issue and they put it on a lift immediately. They immediately gave me a rental and mentioned that they had to order the upgraded slave cylinder.

They got me in and out within 45mins and had my car back to me in 4 days. Great customer service and as far as the work...so far so good. I guess we will have to see what the spring holds for me at the track. Next plans are to remove the dampener and switch to Hi-Temp Motul to help it bite a little harder. Hope this helps with anybody else who has the issue. Thanks to VitViper, Tourinz, Xneo, and Skorch for their help as well. Given the fact that the service writer mentioned an upgraded slave I think the problem is becoming even more common and he said they may issue a TSB for it in the near future. For anyone who needs to visit the dealer information seems to be your best weapon.

Wow you sound like a pro at handling the dealer situation. Way to go... it's hard to get the dealer to do what you want for those people who can barely string a sentence together.

They didn't give me any issues with the test pipes. I did however clear the code that morning before going in so it wouldn't be a blaring sign to deny my warranty but they had to have seen it being that they dropped the tranny and the exhaust made the bay shake as they pulled it in.

Guys, dealers cannot give u sheep about ur mods.... all u have to understand is that the warranty covers against manufacturer defects, and as long that does not has anything to do with ur mods..( CEL b/c of an missing o2 sensor b/c of non stock cats) you'll be all right... the dealer cannot "VOID" ur warranty... the only way to get the warranty voided is by the car having a salvage title...the dealer does decide what warranty should pay, but it all comes down to whom ur speaking with... one dealership story might not be the same as another dealer down the street....so resuming this long post, if Nissan messed it up (not you by cutting ur air box ) Nissan will not have a problem paying for it....
